Study On The Adaptation Of The Elderly In Urban Community With The Intervention Of Group Work

With the accelerating speed of urbanization,the population in various regions of our country is also constantly moving,a large number of people are transferred to the place of migration,and at the same time,there has emerged a group of elderly people who move with them.Such groups are relatively special kind in elderly people,they left the years of the original living environment,the following children migrated to a new environment,may be in order to enjoy better pension conditions and a better life in the environment,and perhaps to take care of the third generation of young,and so on reasons,they are active or passive choice the migration,behind the migration,It is the loneliness and discomfort of the old people who are far away from their hometown and in the face of the new environment.They are faced with such difficulties as the rupture of the original social support system,the difficulty in developing new social contacts and the strangeness of the new environment.In this regard,social workers need to help the old people to enhance their adaptability to the new environment.This paper takes the group of old people living in X community in Jinan City as the research object.This paper uses the method of group work to explore how to make the old people living with them adapt to the urban community life.Under the support of social support theory,social interaction theory and advantage perspective theory,this paper studies the adaptability of the elderly living with them in urban community through questionnaire survey,interview and observation method.The problems that affect the old people’s adaptation to urban community life are the small circle of interpersonal communication,the unsuitable transformation of family roles and the lack of community belonging.Social work aiming at the problems found through group activities to help in the form of trailing the old man to adapt to the community life,constantly in the process of activity found that team members and activity design problems and timely for reflection and analysis,finally to improve ability to adapt to the life of the community’s main goal,trailing the old enhanced trailing the old man for the life of the community.This study through the questionnaire,interview method and observation research methods,collecting the factors hindering the research on the trailing old man city community life adaptation,on the basis of the collected information,the targeted promotion activities for trailing the old man,hope that through activities conducted to help the old man in a dilemma to adapt to the urban community life,change the trailing the old man’s adverse reactions.After the activity,according to the effect of the group,the design process of the group and the social workers themselves were reflected,and the three-point outlook for improving the adaptability of the elderly living with the group was put forward,so as to help the elderly enjoy a high-quality old age with the support from various aspects of the society.
