| The development of the Internet is boosting the game industry by degrees,making the game a popular choice of entertainment,which has brought huge profits for online game companies,but it also brought challenges to the recognition and measurement of game revenue.Compared with the traditional revenue forms of physical goods and providing labor services,the diversified revenue forms of online game companies also make the determination and calculation of revenue more troublesome.Although the new revenue standards open the revenue boundary between products and businesses,and standardize the revenue formed by the service agreements signed between all companies and customers through unified revenue standards and norms,compared with the old standards,it is more convenient for the revenue division and entry management of virtual goods in online games,but there is still no specific industry standard.This thesis focuses on how to improve revenue recognition and measurement of online game companies.The case study method is used in the thesis,taking T company as an example,this thesis first analyzes the problems existing in the revenue recognition of T online game company,such as T company does not disclose enough revenue processing information of monetary precipitation,and it is difficult for T company to evaluate the service life of some virtual props,etc.Then it lists the reasons for the problems in revenue recognition and measurement of T online game company,such as the lack of unified standards for precipitation revenue recognition,the complexity of online game industry,the limitations of revenue model,and the difficulty in determining the fair price of promotional goods.Finally,the thesis gives relevant suggestions:for online game companies,to ameliorate the recognition of precipitation revenue,to improve the system processing capacity and the professional level of financial personnel,and to reasonably distribute the fair value and classification of promotional products.The innovation of this thesis is that the new revenue standard was issued in July 2017,and there is no set of revenue recognition and measurement standards for the online game industry,so the problems need to be solved urgently.There is still a wide research space in this field,and due to the developing online game industry,the research on this topic will gain further importance. |
