In recent years,China’s community correction system has been developing and improving, with social work intervening as a professional social force to provide strong support for the implementation of community correction. As one of the common crimes in community correction, intentional assault brings significant harm to the stable development of society. However, there is little research in the academic field on the classification of social work intervention in this type of correctional group. Therefore, the research on the classification of this group is of great reference significance for social workers to apply appropriate theories and select suitable working methods to implement interventions in their practical work. This study uses the case study method of case work to develop individualised correctional programmes and services to address the problems and needs of client Y.The initial stage of this study used research methods such as interviews, scales and questionnaires to collect data, analyse and assess the needs of case owner Y.The correctional programme was dynamically adjusted during the correctional process, taking into account the actual situation, and interview records and related information were collated;the quality of social work intervention services was assessed at the later stage of the correctional process based on the support of interview records and the comparison of pre-and post-test data on scales.Through the author’s research,it was found that there were problems in the micro, meso and macro aspects of community correctional clients for intentional injury.Specifically, during the correctional period,Case Y felt anxious and depressed about his criminal status, and overestimated himself, believing that his neighbours also despised him;at the same time,he also had a biased perception of the verdict, saying that the verdict was unfair and that he felt wronged;in addition,he also had unresolved conflicts with neighbour A,and was"labelled" by the community. In addition, there were also problems such as unresolved conflicts with neighbour A,discrimination in the job market and difficulties in re-employment.Therefore,under the guidance of the ecosystem theory, the social worker formulated a personalised intervention plan for Case Y.The service was carried out in three dimensions:at the stage of receiving the case, gaining the trust of the case owner and establishing a professional relationship;at the micro level, changing the psychological state, relieving anxiety and distress and establishing rational beliefs;changing cognition, correcting misconceptions and bringing about changes in action;strengthening legal training and enhance legal awareness;at the meso level, unite both sides of the conflict and promote conflict resolution;ease neighbourhood relations and integrate into the community;link resources and seek employment opportunities;at the macro level, conduct policy advocacy;at the case closure stage, deal with parting emotions and close the case properly. This study provides ideas for the community correction of people who have committed intentional assault,i.e.analysing the behaviour of correctional subjects from the individual dimension, helping them to alleviate anxiety and depression, correcting deviant cognition and enhancing legal awareness, addressing interpersonal sensitivity and assisting in solving re-employment problems at the meso level, and strengthening policy advocacy at the macro level,so as to help correctional subjects recognise their behavioural mistakes at the root, remove emotional barriers, better In this way,we can help the clients to recognise their behavioural mistakes, remove their emotional barriers, rebuild themselves and accept correction positively, thus enhancing the effectiveness of community correction.
