The teaching of group reading is a reasonable and effective teaching method.Applying it to the teaching of high school novels can help make up for the shortcomings of traditional novel teaching and open up new horizons in high school novel teaching.The teaching of novel group reading also plays an important role in cultivating students’ core Chinese literacy and promoting teachers’ professional development.However,the teaching method of group reading is rarely used in the teaching of high school novel and there are many problems in the application process.Based on this,this paper conducts in-depth research on the teaching of high school novel group reading,using literature research,questionnaire survey and case analysis methods to explore the important value and teaching strategies of conducting group reading teaching of high school novels.Firstly,the basic concepts and components of group reading teaching are clarified,compare and analyze the group reading teaching method with other reading teaching methods,and discuss the value of conducting high school novel group reading teaching.Thus,laying the theoretical foundation for this study.Secondly,according to the questionnaire survey,this paper analyzes the current problems and causes of the current teaching of novel group reading in senior high schools.The problems include unreasonable topics,inappropriate texts,insufficient effectiveness of teaching issues,improper allocation of classroom time and incomplete evaluation methods.On the basis of the problems,the causes of the problem are analyzed from the perspective of teachers,students and schools.Then,in view of the current situation of novel group reading teaching in high school,according to the novel group reading teaching process,specific preparation and implementation strategies are proposed.Propose preparation strategies from three aspects:establishing topics,selecting texts,and designing questions and propose implementation strategies from two aspects:creating exciting classrooms and improving evaluation methods.Finally,the teaching design is combined with teaching strategies,presenting teaching examples from two dimensions of pre-course preparation and classroom implementation,striving to combine theory and practice,hoping to provide reference for high school teachers to carry out teaching of group reading of novels.
