Practical Research On Developmental Group Among Rural Females From The Perspective Of Intersectionality Theory

Rural women are the backbone of helping rural revitalization,an important part of promoting the modernization of agriculture and rural areas,moreover,they are the enjoyers and beneficiaries of rural revitalization,moreover,they are the promoters and builders.The proposed rural revitalization strategy provides a favorable policy background for rural women’s capacity enhancement.According to the intersectionality theory,rural women face the intersectional challenges of multiple elements such as household registration,gender,age,income,health and education.Combined with the empowerment theory,this study designs and implements a rural women’s development group to enhance the group’s capacity in employment,family,interpersonal,and human rights,thus contributing to rural women’s capacity building in rural revitalization.Relying on the S City M Project,this paper uses questionnaire and interview methods to analyze the intersectional pressures rural women experience in their daily lives,using feminist intersectionality theory as a lens,with the women of Village X as the research target.After the demand research,this study found that rural women suffer from lack of employment resources,weak ability to handle family relationships,weak interpersonal relationships and weak awareness of rights protection in employment,family,interpersonal and rights protection.Based on this,this study conducted development groups to design six practical service themes for rural women in three dimensions:awareness transformation,resource linkage and practical training.Through project implementation process evaluation and project effect evaluation,this study found that:first,resource linkage is a bridge to empower rural women;second,development groups are an effective channel to awaken rural women’s potential;third,the three-dimensional model is a powerful tool to promote rural women’s development;and fourth,intersectionality theory is a support to guarantee rural women’s research.Suggestions for empowering rural women’s social work practice include:building a multi-subject support network to promote rural women’s deep empowerment;exploring rural women’s empowerment work models to empower rural revitalization with women’s power;promoting evidence-based research on women’s empowerment by integrating social work theoretical approaches;and promoting localized research on intersectional theories to build a theoretical framework for women’s empowerment in China.
