Congenital heart disease(hereinafter referred to as "congenital heart disease")is the most common type of congenital malformation, accounting for approximately 28% of all congenital malformations. The incidence rate of congenital heart disease accounts for about 0.4%~1% of live infants, which means that there are about 150000 to 200000 new children with congenital heart disease every year in China. Moreover, children with congenital heart disease are very unlikely to self heal, and the vast majority require surgical treatment.Due to the suddenness of the disease, insufficient awareness of the disease, and high surgical costs, families and children are often caught off guard, lacking the ability to respond to crises, and unable to fully adapt to the environment in a short period of time. These difficulties are undoubtedly a huge "disaster" for children with immature personality development and families with weak crisis response mechanisms. In my research, the author found that families with congenital heart disease generally have problems such as physical and mental disorders, economic pressure, and insufficient social support. In the final analysis, the reason for these problems is the imbalance between the family system and the family structure. The family is an organic whole, and each family member plays a specific function and role.If a child in a family suffers from congenital heart disease,it will inevitably lead to chaos in the entire family system. The role and communication structure of family members are problematic, and social workers need to intervene and provide services. This study uses the method of case study social work to serve a family of a hospitalized child with congenital heart disease at N Hospital in Shenzhen.Based on family system theory and social support theory, social work concepts and professional methods are applied.Participatory observation and interview methods are used to understand the needs of the service object in multiple aspects.By rebuilding the emotional, psychological, economic, and support systems, the service object is helped to rebuild a good family system,Return to a healthy and orderly family life.Next, explore how medical social workers can help families with congenital heart disease rebuild family system balance, and discuss the role of medical social workers in rebuilding the family system of service recipients. Finally, summarize and reflect.Through research,it has been concluded that using the perspective of family system theory to intervene in the case work of family system reconstruction of children with congenital heart disease has certain advantages and effectiveness. At the same time, reflecting on its limitations targeted measures and suggestions for medical social work to intervene in the family system reconstruction of children with congenital heart disease are proposed,in order to enrich the practical path of medical social work intervention in the family of children with congenital heart disease under the new situation and promote the development of medical social work.
