With the severe aging problem in our country and the comprehensive construction of a moderately prosperous society, people’s demands for spiritual and cultural life improvement have become increasingly high due to the improvement of material standards.Since the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the requirements and deployment of rural revitalization strategy for cultural revitalization have put the spiritual and cultural construction of rural elderly people on the agenda. However, the development of urbanization has led to the appearance of "marginalization" and "sense of uselessness" among the elderly population in rural areas.During my internship, the author conducted research on the history and culture of L Village and found that the history and culture of the village were concentrated in the records of the educated youth during the educated youth period. The educated youth history focused on the "educated youth" rather than the villagers.Based on this, the author takes the villagers from L Village who participated or indirectly participated in the movement of going up and down to the countryside during the youth education period as the service object, and forms a group on oral history of the elderly,in order to construct the memories of the youth education period for the villagers, regain their confidence in participating in rural construction, and empower rural development.Through preliminary research,a semi-structured interview method was used to conduct oral history interviews with village committee staff and villagers, analyzing the reasons for the formation of social memory, individual memory, and collective memory during the youth education period of villagers. The problems in the construction of memory during the youth education period of villagers were summarized, and the needs of villagers were analyzed.Explore the feasibility of oral history methods and group social work, and then establish an oral history group. In the group,a comprehensive application of oral history collective interviews and group work methods is used to deconstruct the social memory of villagers during their youth education period, search for the glimmer of individual memory, and then reproduce the collective memory of villagers.Construct the memory of villagers through four memory fields: music, photos, objects, and space, and explore the impact of memory construction on the current spiritual and cultural life of villagers and the promoting role of empowering rural areas. This study found that: firstly, the memory construction of villagers has a positive effect;Secondly, rural empowerment cannot ignore the elderly population;Thirdly, the oral history group has a significant effect on memory construction and rural empowerment;Fourthly, this study has reference significance for rural elderly social work. This study combines oral history methods with group social work to explore the positive role of oral history groups in building memories of specific periods of villagers, enhancing their confidence and spiritual culture, supplementing historical culture, and building rural culture,as well as empowering rural areas. This study believes that oral history groups have a promoting effect on the memory construction and rural empowerment of rural elderly people, and have certain reference significance for the development of localization of social work and rural elderly social work. |
