In recent years,with the rapid development of China’s economy,there has been a growing emphasis on quality-oriented education.The Chinese government and educational departments have consistently prioritized the development of research and study travel,actively promoting and supporting related initiatives.To facilitate the growth of study travel,the Ministry of Education has released numerous policy documents,and both government and schools have established a multitude of study and travel bases,providing an improved environment for student learning and practice.This paper focuses on primary and middle school students as the target group for study travel,which aims to deepen their understanding and application of knowledge,foster innovative thinking,practical skills,and social responsibility through personal experiences at specific times and locations.Harbin boasts a wealth of research tourism resources and significant market potential,yet the current development in this area is limited,and there is a shortage of comprehensive research travel products.To address this gap and support the national call for study travel,this paper investigates Harbin’s unique regional characteristics in order to provide a theoretical framework for the design of study travel products.Firstly,we examine the existing literature on research travel product development in both domestic and international contexts.We define key concepts related to research travel and research travel products,and discuss RMP analysis theory,Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory,and CS theory.Next,we evaluate and analyze Harbin’s research resources,markets,and products using a hierarchical analysis method.Our findings indicate that the most substantial research resource type in Harbin is knowledge science popularization,with a weight value of 0.431,far higher weight than the other 4 categories.Market survey of primary and middle school students and research institutions in Harbin,found that primary and middle school students prefer to travel with friends or classmates,and the number of trips to study is low,the purpose of research is more to increase knowledge,like a long study trip,the cost of research should be controlled within 1000 yuan;The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to analyze the research products in Harbin city,the score of Harbin research products is 71.475,the quality of its tourism products is located between the general and the better.Finally,the current situation of Harbin research products is analyzed and the development strategy of Harbin research products is proposed based on R-M-P analysis..
