As one of the important contents of core literacy,scientific inquiry ability is not only an important content that students must learn,but also an essential ability requirement for them.According to teachers’ feedback,there is no effective way to cultivate students’ scientific inquiry ability at present.The second stage of junior high school is the key period for students to start formal physics knowledge learning and scientific literacy cultivation,and students’ desire to learn physics knowledge reaches its peak.Therefore,teachers should attach importance to and grasp the opportunity.In addition,the core idea of project learning is to ensure the principal position of students and allow students to carry out a series of inquiry activities as young scientists.Its core idea is fully in line with the cultivation requirements of scientific inquiry ability,so it is very important to successfully apply project learning to junior physics teaching.Through interviews with junior high school physics teachers to understand all aspects of the situation,to obtain teachers’ views on project learning and valuable implementation suggestions and other resources.Students are then surveyed to understand their current needs for physics classes.Based on the obtained information and existing theories,this paper explores the principles suitable for junior high school physics project learning,summarizes the implementation section of project learning,summarizes the knowledge points and development suggestions of project learning applied to junior high school physics based on the content of the new curriculum standard,and improves the theory of the teaching mode of project learning physics.Taking the above theories as the research basis,the design of physics teaching cases for project learning is carried out to enrich the teaching case resources for integrating project learning into junior physics.After practice,the teaching effect will be explored through questionnaires,and the questionnaire reference will be provided for the evaluation of scientific inquiry ability of later generations.Finally,this paper compares the design of the two lessons to deepen the connection with the theoretical content and make a good summary,hoping to bring certain ideas and inspiration to the teaching design of project learning for teachers and provide a practical path for teaching reform.The research results of this paper show that the application of project learning in junior physics teaching has a significant effect on improving students’ scientific inquiry ability,and is beneficial to students to form good character and develop various abilities,so as to build a bridge for students’ lifelong development.
