In the context of double reduction,there is an endless stream of literature on the research of junior high school Chinese homework.Many experts,scholars,and frontline teachers have approached it from different perspectives.Some focus on the hierarchical arrangement of junior high school Chinese homework,while some educational researchers focus on designing junior high school Chinese homework from the perspective of the overall unit.Based on the previous data collection and organization,this paper focuses on the current problems and difficulties in middle school Chinese reading assignments.Starting from these problems,it delves into the reasons for the complexity and excessive amount of middle school Chinese reading assignments.To address these reasons,based on the relevant data and information collected earlier,further research on countermeasures will be conducted.Targeted at the requirements of different "double reduction" policies,corresponding junior high school Chinese reading assignments will be designed to promote the reading ability of all students,effectively implement the double reduction policy,reduce the workload of students’ homework while not reducing their reading ability development.The introduction section of this article elaborates on the purpose and significance of this research,which aims to understand the current situation of Chinese reading assignments for middle school students through various means.Based on the current research findings of this project at home and abroad,it draws on strengths and complements weaknesses to identify current problems in reading assignment design,laying the foundation for optimizing the design of middle school language reading assignments in the future.The first chapter mainly analyzes the practical needs of optimizing the design of middle school Chinese reading assignments.Chapter 2 mainly analyzes the theoretical basis and principles of designing Chinese reading assignments for middle school students,starting from the topics of curriculum standards and the " double reduction" policy.The third chapter of this article analyzes and summarizes the problems and causes of current middle school Chinese reading homework,and finds the cause in order to cure the disease.Chapter 4 discusses the practical and feasible design of middle school Chinese reading assignments in the context of double reduction,and proposes solutions to the various problems mentioned earlier.
