| Labor education,as an important part of the integration of the five education areas,lays a solid foundation for promoting the development of the other four areas,such as moral,intellectual,physical and aesthetic education.The purpose of effective labor education is to cultivate students to form good labor qualities and establish correct labor values through practical activities.In this study,literature research method,questionnaires and interviews were used.Questionnaires were distributed to 480 students and 318 teachers in three elementary school in city H.The self-administered questionnaires "Student’s Questionnaire on the Current Situation of Labor Education Management in Primary Schools" and "Teacher’s Questionnaire on the Current Situation of Labor Education Management in Primary Schools" were conducted.In the student questionnaire,35.5% of the students found that the implementation of labor education was not necessary,and 34% of the students did not like the labor class.Combining previous research experiences,from the perspectives of schools,teachers,parents,and government,the real dilemmas of implementing labor education in elementary school were found to be: lack of proper guidance on labor values;poor implementation of labor education curriculum in schools;insufficient infrastructure for labor education in schools;lack of professional teachers for labor education in schools;lack of active guidance on labor in families;and limited promotion by educational administration.The reasons for these problems are also analyzed in depth: such as the deviation of labor education concepts;the lack of attention to the implementation of labor education curriculum in schools;the limited resources available in schools;the imperfect teachers’ team;the one-sided labor education in families;and the need to strengthen the coordination of education administrative departments.In view of these problems,we propose corresponding strategies to solve them.Firstly,we should strengthen the management of labor education in schools,including the implementation of curriculum,construction of labor infrastructure,formation of professional teachers,cultivation of values and improvement of labor education management system for management.The second is to play the role of infiltration of family education,firstly,to cooperate with labor education in schools,and secondly,to ensure students’ family work time.The last is to improve the management level of labor education by the government,including two aspects of strengthening the supervision of education administration and improving the labor protection mechanism,so as to better improve the management level of labor education in elementary school. |
