In the evaluation suggestions of the Chemistry Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 edition),it is emphasized that it is necessary to "optimize the overall design and implementation of unit assignments" and "give full play to the functions of unit assignments which are review and consolidation,expansion and extension as well as quality improvement".In the teaching practice,the author(Ⅰ)found that many teachers’ cognition of unit assignment in aspects such as function,design and implementation was different from the requirements put forward by the curriculum standard,and the current research on unit assignment design in the field of chemistry education could not fully meet the needs of the reform of basic chemistry teaching.Therefore,the author(Ⅰ)carried out related research on unit assignment design based on junior chemistry.Based on the analysis of the current research results on unit assignments,this paper analyzes the connotation,characteristics and structure of the assignments and unit assignments,defines the connotation and characteristics of "unit assignment design",determines the process of unit assignment design,and through theoretical and case analysis,discusses the content,methods and requirements of each element of junior high school chemistry unit assignment.According to the requirements of these methods,the unit assignment of "Mystery of material composition" and "carbon neutrality" is designed.On this basis,the scientific nature and operability of the theoretical research of this subject and the practical application value of two designs of unit assignments are tested through the evaluation of subject education experts and front-line teachers,the feedback of students’ trial assignment and the interview of students,etc.Based on the theoretical research and practice of this paper,the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)Unit assignment focuses on the construction of students’ big concepts and has the characteristics of systematization,efficiency,relevance,structure,hierarchy and progression.It is composed of unit basic assignment,unit flexible assignment and unit extended assignment.(2)Unit assignment design has the characteristics of overall planning,focusing on cohesion and quality,reflecting progress,diverse forms and emphasizing learning situation.In the three stages and ten steps of unit assignment design process,the preparation is the foundation;the design of target advance chart is the guarantee;the overall planning step is the core;the selection of content situation and task setting is the key.(3)Unit assignment should choose the situations which are real and meaningful,close to the reality of students’ life,and can cause students cognitive conflicts.The design of tasks should take into account the interests of students,and reflect the diversity,inquiry and value orientation.Assignment evaluation should pay attention to the diversity of methods and the comprehensiveness of evaluation indicators.(4)Through the test of practice,subject education experts and front-line teachers believe that the unit assignment designed in this subject meets the requirements of the unit assignment in the aspects of target progressive design,control of the amount of assignment,innovation of the type of assignment,control of the difficulty of three types of assignment(basic assignment,flexible assignment and extended assignment),selection of situations,design of tasks and evaluation,etc.The students’ test and interview show that the unit assignment designed in this subject has a good degree of completion,but the design of practical assignment and reading assignment needs to be strengthened and improved. |
