Research On The Development Of Suzhou Taihu Sports And Leisure Town Based On SWOT Analysis

As an important carrier for the development of the sports industry,the sports and leisure town assumes a demonstration role in leading the development of the sports industry,promoting the construction of a new type of urbanisation and helping to realise rural revitalisation.During the Twelfth Five-Year Plan and Thirteenth Five-Year Plan,the construction of special sports towns was fruitful,and sports and leisure towns came into being.The construction and development of sports towns affects local cultural construction and sports industry development in the context of the national rural revitalisation strategy.Suzhou Taihu Sports and Leisure Town was included in the list of provincial special towns created in 2020,and was successfully selected as one of the top 50 special towns in China,the only town in the sports and leisure category.It has been evaluated in the three major index systems of "good for business","good for living" and "good for tourism".This paper uses SWOT analysis to study the current situation of the development of Suzhou Taihu Sports and Leisure Town in the context of rural revitalization,through literature,expert interviews,questionnaires,mathematical and statistical methods and fieldwork,and other research methods."The study aims to promote the coordinated development of the regional sports industry,economy and culture,promote the development of urban and rural sports,and realise rural revitalisation.The study aims to promote the harmonious development of sports industry and culture in the region,promote the development of urban and rural sports,realize the revitalization of the countryside,and serve as a reference guide for the sports towns under planning and a reference for the development of sports towns under construction.This paper presents a SWOT analysis of the development status of Suzhou Taihu Sports and Leisure Town,covering the town’ s project planning,cultural construction,infrastructure construction,event development and the integration of sports and leisure tourism industries.The study found that:Suzhou Taihu Sports and Leisure Town relies on the advantages of Taihu Lake resources,based on the town’ s actual situation,gives full play to the advantages of leisure resources and promotes the prosperity of the sports industry;improves the quality of existing basic facilities,strengthens the construction and improvement of functional supporting facilities,increases the reserve of sports talents and helps people live in a livable environment;relies on cultural construction,develops local sports events,broadens publicity channels and continuously optimises the upgrading of the sports industry.The development of the town will grasp the opportunity of the times,improve the risk prevention and control mechanism,perfect the functions of the leisure system and improve its competitiveness:the scientific and reasonable layout of space,create a leisure and cultural atmosphere,and promote the high-quality development of the town in three aspects:livability,livability and tourism.
