Under the background of the new round of basic education reform,the relationship between teaching and research is becoming closer and closer,which puts forward higher requirements for high school teachers,teachers should not only have teaching ability,but also have teaching and research ability.From the perspective of high school history teachers,improving their teaching and research ability is conducive to the development of high school history teaching theory,the sustainable development of history teachers and the quality of history classroom teaching.Under the reference and guidance of the existing theories,the author investigates the teaching and research ability of the history teachers in the four high schools in Rizhao city through questionnaire survey and interview,analyzes the problems and causes of the teaching ability of the high school history teachers,and then raises the strategies to improve the teaching and research ability of the high school history teachers.Through the analysis of the teaching and research ability of high school history teachers ’survey program,this thesis found that there are deficiencies of high school history teachers in teaching research,such as teachers’ weak initiative in teaching research,less time for teaching research,and lack of teaching and research ability.The reasons are as follows: at the level of education authorities,Due to insufficient support,The education authorities lack the management policy for teacher teaching research,the imperfect teacher training mechanism,and the lack of specific evaluation indicators,Lack of attention to the development of teachers’ teaching and research ability;In the case of the schools concerned,Due to the lack of incentive policy,teaching and research atmosphere is not strong,incomplete teaching and research management system.All this leads to the lack of support for high school history teachers;The teachers themselves,Due to teachers’ weak concept of personal teaching research,insufficient teaching research time,insufficient teaching research ability and the particularity of history discipline makes it difficult for teachers to conduct teaching and research,teachers rarely conduct teaching research,The improvement of teaching and research ability is limited.Therefore,according to the above reasons,targeted strategies are put forward to improve the teaching and research ability of history teachers.In terms of education authorities,increase support,improve teacher training mechanism and developmental evaluation mechanism,attach importance to teachers’ teaching research,create teaching and research atmosphere,change teaching research concept,combining theory and practice,and attach importance to teaching and reflection.How to integrate the teaching and research of high school history teachers still needs further research.The research of this project aims to put forword some strategic suggestions for the improvement of their teaching and research ability and the cultivation of teachers’ teaching and research ability,then improve the level of history teaching and make the history education in senior high school develop better.
