In July 2020,the Ministry of Education issued the Guidelines for Labor Education in Universities,Primary and Secondary Schools(Trial),requiring schools at all levels and of all types to vigorously develop labor education and focus on improving students’ labor literacy.Many scholars carry out researches on the systematic development of labor education from the perspective of the whole,but there are few researches on the labor literacy of secondary vocational students and their promotion strategies,which need to be further studied.By investigating the actual level of labor literacy of secondary vocational students and the corresponding education situation,this study explores the weak aspects of labor literacy of secondary vocational students and the prominent problems in the corresponding means and methods of labor education,so as to provide targeted strategies and help secondary vocational schools to achieve the goal of labor education in the new era.By referring to the evaluation framework of labor literacy of secondary vocational students by experts and scholars and the relevant documents of national labor education,a four-dimensional evaluation framework of labor literacy suitable for this study is designed,which covers labor concepts,labor knowledge and skills,labor habits and quality and labor spirit of secondary vocational students.This paper sorts out the research on the status quo of labor education in secondary vocational schools,focusing on the research on the problems and paths of labor education at the present stage.At the same time,the relevant educational factors affecting labor literacy of secondary vocational students are investigated by referring to the theoretical design of labor education.After sending questionnaires to three secondary vocational schools in Jiangxi Province,SPSS statistical software was used for descriptive,correlation and difference data statistical analysis.The results show that :(1)the overall level of labor literacy of secondary vocational students is high,but the development is not balanced;(2)some educational factors that significantly affect the labor literacy of secondary vocational students are explored,including the opening of labor courses,construction of labor education facilities,education of model labors’ deeds,education of arranging students to meet with outstanding workers in the industry,students’ labor experience and labor practice,collective labor and housework labor education.The actual situation mostly needs to be improved.The existing problems of labor literacy of secondary vocational students are sorted out and analyzed.Secondary vocational students’ view of labor achievement is relatively lacking,and family labor education is lacking.Students’ labor skills are weak and the effect of labor practice is general.Students lack the habit and quality of labor innovation,and the teaching mode and teaching resources need to be improved.Some students lack of labor spirit and labor education methods are not diversified enough.Applying Marx’s labor theory of value and Suhomlinsky’s labor education theory to conduct in-depth analysis,the following suggestions are proposed: First of all,on the subject of education,emphasis should be placed on home-school cooperation to build a pattern of collaborative education;Secondly,attention should be paid to the combination of students’ body-brain and body-heart in the process of practice,and the integration of ideological education with practical education;Thirdly,update the teaching mode and combine social forces to supplement teaching resources;Finally,deepen and enrich labor spirit education through various forms,such as building labor education courses,strengthening education of model workers’ deeds,arranging students to meet with outstanding workers in the industry,and carrying out collective labor.
