Information-based teaching has gradually become a highly controversial topic of research among scholars in the field of international teaching as information-based technology develops further in the late 20 th century.The systematic research on information-based teaching in China was initiated in the early 21 st century and has been rapidly developing.However,research regarding the information-based teaching ability of teachers for basic subjects such as Chinese language has not been developed adequately.Yet the information-based teaching ability of teachers fails to integrate properly with the subject contents.Consequently,enhancing the information-based teaching ability of Chinese teachers within secondary education system continues to be the focus of future research on information-based teaching.This dissertation investigates and conducts relevant research about the core theme of "Information-based Teaching Ability of Chinese Teachers in Secondary Schools".The paper first proposes relevant research questions,and identifies the research content by understanding the background of the research topic.Then,by sorting out the development history of relevant research in China and abroad,and it summarizes theoretical research in terms of the methods and content of existing research that can be used for reference.On the basis of the existing research findings,the development of the information-based teaching competencies of language teachers and the analysis of the teaching competency criteria of teachers conducted domestically and internationally are combined.The information-based teaching ability of secondary school Chinese teachers is subdivided into 6 dimensions: teaching cognitive ability,teaching resource utilization ability,teaching design ability,teaching practical ability,teaching evaluation ability and teaching reflection ability.And the research content was analyzed in detail by questionnaire survey,classroom observation and interview method.The research object consists of Chinese language teachers from 7 different secondary schools in 7 districts of Nanchang City.Questionnaires were distributed to a total of 123 Chinese teachers in 7 secondary schools to summarize the current situation of Chinese teachers’ informatization teaching ability in secondary school.And then carried out a differentiated analysis by demographic variables in terms of gender,teaching experience,educational background and year of teaching.During the interview process,12 Chinese language teachers from the 4 schools in the total sample were interviewed individually.Following the design of the outline and the guidance of the interview process,and then conclude the factors affecting their teaching ability in accordance with their different teaching experiences in the practice of informationbased teaching.The summarized factors are: the policy implementation factor at macro level,and teaching environment and teaching subject factors at micro level(including teachers and students).The paper proposes strategies to promote the ability of Chinese teachers to informatization teaching according to the discussed macro and micro level factors affecting the teaching ability of Chinese teachers:(1)To elevate the information-based teaching qualifications of Chinese language teachers,and to be fully awarded of the main body of information-based teaching(i.e.teachers and students),also fully understand the function of their roles and cooperation,and encourage students to learn independently in addition.(2)To deepen Chinese teachers’ understanding of the supportive role of information technology in the teaching process,and build a teaching mode integrates teachers’ information-based teaching and relevant subject knowledge of Chinese language in secondary school.(3)To Improve the training system for the Chinese language teachers’ information-based teaching skills,and to enrich the training content(incorporating subject contents with information-based technology),as well as improving training methods(both online and onsite,and classifying training by teachers’ personal characteristics and so forth).(4)To establish a comprehensive and sustainable evaluation mechanism for information-based teaching and learning,and students’ parents will also be participated.So as to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable evaluation system and provide a platform for reflection on Chinese teaching and learning.
