Abstract/Summary:
Vocational college students play an important role in optimizing the structure of human resources in our country. The detection rate of depression in vocational students is relatively high, which is inexorable. How to prevent depression in vocational students and improve their mental health has become the focus of attention and research. In this study, the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire Short Form Chinese Version(EPQ-RSC),Cognitive Emotion Regulation Strategies(CERQ),Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)were used to evaluate Nanchang vocational students were the subjects of the study, and 677 valid questionnaires were obtained. The results of the study are as follows:(1)Nanchang higher vocational students who participated in this survey had higher neurotic personality scores and tended to use adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies. The detection rates of anxiety and depression were 33.4% and 52.9%,respectively.(2)The neurotic personality scores of the higher vocational students in Nanchang who participated in the survey were higher than the norm, and there were significant differences in grades, smoking status and drinking status.Cognitive emotion regulation strategies differed significantly by gender, grade, and family residence.Anxiety levels differed significantly by grade and by drinking status.(3)Correlation analysis: Neurotic personality was significantly positively correlated with anxiety and depression levels, adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies were significantly negatively correlated with anxiety and depression levels, and non-adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies were significantly positively correlated with anxiety and depression levels.Anxiety levels were significantly positively correlated with depression levels.(4)Simple mediating effect: take neurotic personality as the independent variable and depression level as the dependent variable.Non-adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies(total),anxiety, catastrophic and blame others strategies all have mediating roles in the relationship between the two.(5)Chain mediating effect: Non-adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies(total)and anxiety have an incomplete chain mediating effect between neurotic personality and depression level.Catastrophic strategies and anxiety have an incomplete chain mediating effect between neurotic personality and depression levels.Blame strategies and anxiety have incomplete chain mediating effects between neurotic personality and depression levels. In conclusion, the non-adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategy(total),catastrophizing and blaming others strategy, respectively, and anxiety all have incomplete chain mediating effects between neurotic personality and depression level. To a certain extent, the results of the study can provide some references for the improvement of the mental health level of higher vocational students.
