Nursery rhymes are short,simple,rhyming,and rhythmic,which are consistent with children’s psychological and cognitive development and have unique educational value.First-grade students are in the critical period of language learning,teachers use appropriate nursery rhyme teaching strategies to create a suitable environment conducive to children’s language acquisition,which will greatly improve the learning efficiency of children’s language acquisition.In this study,we used the interview method and observation method to investigate the specific situation of teachers’ nursery rhyme teaching in Beijing X elementary school.First,an interview outline was prepared with the teaching content,and in-depth interviews were conducted with three Chinese teachers in the first grade of X primary school.Second,an observation record form was developed and the observation method was used to observe and record the Chinese classroom of the first grade of X primary school to grasp the specific situation of teachers’ nursery rhyme teaching.Based on the interview results and classroom observations,we summarized the current situation of teaching nursery rhymes in the first grade of X primary school,analyzed its successes and shortcomings,explored effective strategies for teaching nursery rhymes,and tried to provide teachers with practical reference methods in classroom teaching.This study has four parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly includes five aspects:research origin,research significance,literature review,definition of core concepts,research questions and research methods.The second part is the concepts and theories related to nursery rhyme teaching,which explains the relationship and difference between nursery rhymes,children’s songs and children’s poems,analyzes the characteristics and educational value of nursery rhymes,and clarifies the theoretical basis of nursery rhyme teaching.The third part is an investigation and analysis of the current situation of teaching nursery rhymes in the first grade language of elementary school X.Firstly,the basic situation of the survey is introduced.Second is the investigation of the current situation of teaching nursery rhymes in the first grade of X primary school.Finally,the successful experiences in teaching are summarized and the shortcomings in teaching are analyzed.The fourth part is an exploration of the teaching strategies of nursery rhymes in the first grade,mainly including:(1)language and text accumulation and combing,not only focusing on language accumulation,but also effectively using nursery rhymes to help teach pinyin and Chinese characters.(2)Reading and appreciation,designing various learning activities on the one hand,and enriching recitation methods on the other,to stimulate first graders’ interest in learning.(3)Paying attention to the evaluation of nursery rhymes teaching,the evaluation subjects should be diversified,and developmental evaluation should also be concerned.
