The " 5E”teaching mode focuses on inquiry teaching and visual teaching focuses on explicit representation of knowledge,process and thinking.This study attempts to combine the ’ 5E ’ teaching mode and visualization,in order to implement the ’ high school chemistry new curriculum standard(2017 edition 2020 revision)’ and the development of the digital age on the cultivation of students ’inquiry ability and migration ability.To verify whether ’ 5E ’ teaching mode and visual integration can improve students ’ academic performance,learning interest,inquiry ability and migration ability,and provide new ideas for ’ 5E ’ teaching mode and visual integration.Firstly,the research status of " 5E" teaching mode and visualization at home and abroad is reviewed,the research progress and shortcomings of " 5E" teaching mode and visualization are clarified,and the research direction is determined.Literature research method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and classroom observation method are selected as research methods to sort out research ideas.Secondly,it defines the concept of " 5E" teaching mode and visualization and chooses constructivism,conceptual change theory and visual theory as theoretical support.Then,the questionnaire survey was used to obtain the students ’ learning status in terms of learning interest,inquiry ability and migration ability.The teachers were interviewed to obtain the current situation of ion reaction concept teaching.Based on this,the " 5E" teaching mode and visual teaching model were constructed,and the ion reaction was selected as the teaching content design and practiced in middle schools.The experimental class chooses the form of " 5E" teaching mode and visual integration for teaching,and the control class adopts the traditional mode for teaching.The students ’ test scores were analyzed by SPSS 23.0.The results showed that the average academic performance of the experimental class was 70.98,and the average academic performance of the control class was 66.40,indicating that the " 5E”teaching mode can improve students ’ academic performance to a certain extent.The questionnaire results show that the combination of " 5E”leaching mode and visualization can improve students ’ interest in learning,inquiry ability and migration ability.The results of the classroom observation scale show that the students in the experimental class have better classroom performance than those in the control class in terms of listening status,speaking or answering questions,participating in classroom activities,and taking notes.In summary,the combination of " 5E”teaching mode and visualization is feasible,which can promote students ’understanding of the concept of ion reaction and improve their comprehensive ability.Finally,based on the practice of " 5E”teaching mode and visualization integration,the shortcomings and prospects are put forward in order to provide reference for front-line teaching.
