Research On Practical Teaching Strategies Of High School Geography Under The Background Of New Curriculum Refor

Abstract/Summary:
With the implementation of the national curriculum reform and the introduction of the core competencies of geography,geography education pays more attention to the cultivation of geographical practice ability.The “Geography Curriculum Standards for General Senior High Schools(2017 Edition)” puts forward specific requirements for the implementation and cultivation of geographic practical ability,with students as the main body and teachers as the leading,aiming to change the traditional teaching method based on imparting knowledge.Emphasis is placed on cultivating students’ practical ability,and through practical teaching,the mastery and assimilation of geography knowledge will be integrated into daily exploration.As an important starting point for the cultivation of high school students’ geographic practice ability,high school geography practice teaching integrates classroom teaching and practical teaching,which plays an important role in the implementation of geography curriculum standards and the promotion of new curriculum reform.Carrying out the practical teaching of geography in high school is helpful to stimulate students’ autonomous thinking and hands-on ability,but due to the particularity of geography practice,the cultivation of students’ geographical practice ability is still relatively weak.In view of this,based on the literature research method,the article sorts out the relevant literature at home and abroad,and summarizes the research status of the practice teaching of geography under the background of the reform of geography education at home and abroad.Using questionnaires,in-depth interviews,mathematical statistical analysis and other methods,the current situation and existing problems of high school geography practice teaching under the background of the new curriculum reform were investigated from both teachers and students.And this paper proposes a practical teaching strategy for high school geography under the background of the new curriculum reform,and designs teaching cases according to the proposed strategy.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)Through the investigation of teachers and students,it is found that under the background of the current new curriculum reform,there are some problems in high school geography practice teaching,such as the practice teaching of geography in high school classrooms is not in-depth enough and the classification is relatively simple.Also it shows a lack of unified standards for the use of teaching materials and problems such as unclear teaching objectives and scarcity of experience in extracurricular geography practice.(2)In view of the problems found,the teaching guarantee strategies of geography practice in and out of class are constructed from the aspects of schools,teachers and students.As the designer of geographic practice teaching,teachers should carefully analyze the curriculum standards,select appropriate textbook content,and reasonably design various forms of geographic practice teaching;Encourage teachers to participate in practical teaching training,accumulate experience by observing high-quality practical teaching courses,optimize the design of geographical practice teaching,consider the specific needs of students,and stimulate students’ exploration and hands-on ability;Strengthen school-enterprise,school-school,school-home cooperation,guide social organizations and students’ parents to participate in extracurricular geography practice teaching in various forms,and ensure the smooth development of geography practice teaching.(3)According to the proposed strategy,two parts of “atmospheric thermal circulation”and “atmospheric heating process” are selected to design the classroom and extracurricular geography practice teaching respectively,in order to provide a reference for the teaching practice of front-line teachers of geography in senior high schools.
