The proposition of geography practical ability decides that geography teaching should pay more attention to carrying out practical activities.Geography practical activity is a supplement to traditional classroom teaching.It can not only enable students to better apply the geographical knowledge learned in the classroom,but also exercise students’ action ability and willpower quality.Therefore,the local geographic environment close to students’ life is organically combined with the geographic practice of "discovery-inquiry-problem-solving",so that the geographic practice force becomes the combination point and adhesive of theory and practice.This paper takes the design of geographic practice activities based on the cultivation of geographic practice ability as the research object,takes the development of geographic practice projects in Ulanhot City and the exploration of the design strategies of geographic practice activities as the research contents,and selects 18 representative cases from numerous design schemes of geographic practice activities as research materials,using case analysis,action research and field investigation methods.It provides geography teachers with the design idea of geography practice activities,and also provides a plan of geography practice activities that can be directly used,which enriches the curriculum resources of geography practice activities in Ulanhot.The following conclusions are drawn: Firstly,according to the results of field investigation and survey,30 local resources suitable for Ulanhot middle school students to carry out geographical practice activities are selected on the basis of geographical elements,including 9 "natural geographical investigation resources" and 21 "humangeographical investigation resources".Secondly,six geographic practice projects with different themes and functions are designed,which are composed of nine parts: activity theme and topic,activity purpose,participants,activity preparation,activity time,activity location,activity implementation process,activity evaluation and activity summary.At the same time,two projects are selected for practice,and the Enlightenment of geography practice teaching is summarized.Thirdly,the author draws lessons from case study and activity design,and puts forward the design strategy of geographic practice activities,which includes the following nine aspects: using typical geographic materials with the characteristics of the times to design activity themes,using various organizational forms to design activity topics with different difficulty,focusing on the goal of geographic practice from the core literacy,and using on embodying the region.Local Geographical Situational Design Activity Location with Characteristic Design Activity Site,Prepare for the overall design activities from geographical knowledge,safety tips of practical methods,use group cooperation-task assignment to design activity personnel to reflect students’ participation,use task-driven method to design inquiry activity process,use process-oriented feedback method to design activity evaluation and summary,and use scientific theoretical basis.Ensure that the program of activities is scientific.
