Under the background that undergraduates’ employment difficulties have become normal, transferable skills,as a key factor affecting undergraduates’ employment competitiveness, are increasingly valued by employers and become indispensable and important skills for undergraduates in the process of job hunting, employment and career development.Based on the consideration of the issue of undergraduates’employment, this paper takes "the transferable skills of undergraduates" as the research theme, and focuses on the three issues of the concept, structure, and training strategies of the transferable skills of undergraduates. It is defined as a collection of some of the abilities and qualities that are related to the personal characteristics of undergraduates, which are cultivated during the undergraduate study stage and can be transferred to work positions, which are conducive to personal job search and career development.Through theoretical construction of the transferable skills structure model, transferable skills are specifically divided into five dimensions:personal attributes, basic skills, communication skills, development skills and management skills.Secondly, this paper uses text analysis and semi-structured interview methods, with the help of the National Standards for Undergraduate Professional Teaching Quality in General Universities(hereinafter referred to as National Standards)and the annual report on the employment quality of graduates of the year 2019 of 87 "double first-class" construction universities, taking 16 undergraduates from "double first-class" construction universities as the interview objects, from the perspectives of universities, employers and undergraduates, this paper extracts nine core elements of undergraduates’ transferable skills, including career planning, initiative, innovation ability, communication ability, learning ability, expression ability, organizational ability, adaptability and problem-solving ability, and constructs the structure model of undergraduates’ transferable skills from both internal and external perspectives. Finally, starting from the practical level, the paper proposes the following strategies to help cultivate transferable skills of undergraduates:first, for students, they can actively strengthen the training of their own transferable skills through "other people’s guidance","voluntary service","internship training","social practice","tudent work" and "competition projects";second, for universities, they can integrate the transferable skills of undergraduates into the specific talent training and curriculum teaching goal setting, comprehensively use the two training modes of individual training and integrated training, and adopt the teaching method based on problem-driven and cooperative inquiry to infiltrate the cultivation of transferable skills of undergraduates into the whole process of undergraduate talent training,so as to better guide undergraduates to make full use of their time in school to improve their transferable skills.
