Nowadays,there merges increasing exchange and integration between cultures with growing emphasis on cross-cultural education and acquisition embraced by globalization.After the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative,an increasing number of overseas students alongside come to China for academic pursuit.For overseas students,it accounts for an effective way of being exposed to and integrating into the new environment with perception of Chinese culture through the Information Technology and active participation in cultural activities correlated to cultural blending.The study provides overseas students from ASEAN with a platform for learning and exchange by adopting means of information technology involving Wechat Official Platform,accompanied by research methods including literature retrieval,questionnaire survey,personal interview and action research.Meanwhile,activities of cross-cultural acquisition supported by information technology are designed and implemented so as to facilitate their better acceptance and adaption of Chinese cultural through increasing the cognition and experience of Chinese culture among overseas students,supplying other researchers with emulation and reference from practice.The paper is composed of four parts with the following contents in details:The first part primarily constitutes theoretical study elaborating the background,objective,significance,contents,significance,thinking and framework of the research with the definition of the core concept cross-cultural learning.Based on literature retrieval,domestic and international research on information technology and cross-cultural acquisition are gradually concluded at the current stage.Illustrating constructivist theory of acquisition,cognition,experiential learning,activity,informal learning and cross-cultural acquisition comprise the theoretical support of the study.The second part narrates the investigation on the current situation of cross-cultural acquisition among international students from ASEAN.With the utilization of personal interview,the study carries out investigation from three dimensions covering cross-cultural cognition,behavior and emotion,paving way for activities of cross-cultural acquisition later.The third part involves the design,implementation and effect analysis of cross-cultural acquisition among overseas students from ASEAN supported by information technology.The activity design of cross-cultural acquisition carries out action research through teaching and participation in practical activities,which is characterized by clear topic and dominated by international students from ASEAN with the objective of Chinese culture acquisition,selection of Chinese culture elements and creation of cultural atmosphere.Prior to the initiation of action research,the activity program of cross-cultural acquisition is proposed after the preliminary design and trial operation,followed by practice of the scheme in the first round.After the first-round action research,revision and improvement are to be carried out on the activity program of cross-cultural acquisition proposed at the former stage,accompanied by the practice of the second and third turn.The gradual revision and improvement of cross-cultural acquisition supported by information technology witness the analysis on the effect of activities through evaluation of masterpieces accomplished by international students,questionnaires and interviews.The fourth part constitutes the conclusion and prospect of the research.Through practice and introspection,the outcome of the research and shortcoming existing in the research are summarized,bringing about prospect for profound study later.The conclusions drawn by the paper are as follows:First and foremost,international students from ASEAN are vibrant with awareness of perceiving China through the means of information technology based on the investigation.Nevertheless,the effect of learning is far from satisfactory due to limited resources of cross-cultural acquisition relevant to overseas students as one of the causes.It is universally acknowledged that Wechat accounts for a social software with wide preference and frequent use among international students in China,winning popularity among the group in the means of information technology.To my relief,overseas students invigorate their intentions to learn through Wechat,but Wechat Official Platform has not realized acquisition and application of in-depth level yet.As far as I am concerned,Wechat Public Platform is in possession of strong educational function with simple and swift operation facilitating the academic pursuit and life of overseas students in China.In addition,the activity design of cross-cultural acquisition among overseas students from ASEAN primarily supported by information technology derives from three aspects of cross-cultural cognition,behavior and emotion,involving three stages of acquisition prior to,in and after the activity.Forming a circle of learning through the design and utilization of experiential learning enables activity of cross-cultural acquisition with construction of cross-cultural learning environment,emphasis on the specific process of cross-cultural acquisition based on establishment of connection via information technology,supply of academic resources as well as invigoration of interaction and evaluation with assurance of gradual learning.Based on understanding of culture,international student manage to appreciate the profound connotation of Chinese culture through cross-cultural activities with the creation of cultural atmosphere.Last but not least,the study selects cultural topics involving Chinese drawing,paper cutting and Chinese knots to carry out activity design of cross-cultural acquisition appropriate for the acquisition of overseas students with the assistance of information technology according to the learning demand of international students from ASEAN,followed by practice.International students are provided with an authentic learning environment of experience and interaction with interaction of knowledge and cognitive level as well as enhancement and recognition of the knowledge acquired based on personal experience,enabling the improvement of cross-cultural learning abilities through active attainment prior to the activity,arrangement,procession,communication and cooperation in the activity,together with conclusion and sharing after the activity.Ultimately,strategies ranging from establishment of the platform to design of the topic,resources,activities and evaluation are proposed.
