| CPC and our government attach great importance to the issue of migrant workers returning home for business. In 2015,the State Council for the first time introduced migrant workers to start a business as a "new momentum" and it was incorporated into the strategy of popular entrepreneurship and innovation.Encouraged by a series of entrepreneurial policies and measures, migrant workers have made some achievements in their return to their hometowns, but the entrepreneurial practice of migrant workers is still not optimistic. In fact, social capital may be the most important strategic resource in the process of entrepreneurial activity.Credit constraint is one of the important obstacles that inhabits individuals from achieving entrepreneurial transformation. Therefore, the study of the interactive effects of credit constraint and social capital on the entrepreneurial willingness and entrepreneurial performance of migrant workers are not only novel in perspective, but also helpful to explain the entrepreneurial phenomenon of migrant workers in a more comprehensive and scientific way. This study takes the migrant workers who start a businesses as the research objects, and studies the interactive effects and mechanisms of credit constraint and social capital on these migrant workers. The main research contents and research methods are:(1)Using literature research methods, the related theory are summarized based on the definition of related concepts such as entrepreneurship, credit constraint and social capital for migrant workers through searching, reading, and sorting existing literature.(2)By the method of questionnaire, the basic situation of migrant workers in Fujian Province is formed based on the statistical analysis of the individual characteristics, household characteristics, entrepreneurial resources and entrepreneurial process of migrant workers through collecting sample data from questionnaires designed for migrant workers.(3)After employing the factor analysis method to extract the common factors of social capital, the Logistic model is used to empirically analyze the mutual influence of the credit constraint of sample migrant workers and social capital on the willingness to start a business for migrant workers, and then draw the corresponding conclusions.(4)Adopting the multi-case analysis method, the direct impact of developing social capital to promote entrepreneurship and the indirect effect of promoting entrepreneurship by alleviating credit constraint are demonstrated through collecting typically successful cases and unsuccessful entrepreneurship of migrant workers.(5)According to the research conclusions, policy recommendations are proposed from the aspects of easing the credit constraint of migrant workers and enriching their social capital. Conclusions of this research are as follows:(1)credit constraint status, organization, hometown trust, network and other social capital factors, and interaction item which is between credit constraint and social capital organization factors have a significant impact on the willingness of migrant workers.(2)The case studies suggest that the development of social capital not only helps directly promote entrepreneurship, but also it can indirectly promote entrepreneurship by alleviating credit constraint.Based on the above findings above, this study proposes policy recommendations to promote migrant workers from the aspects of relieving the credit constraint of migrant workers and enriching their social capital and to provide valuable reference for entrepreneurial issues of migrant workers. |
