In recent years, with the continuous development of the economy and the continuous improvement of urbanization, traffic congestion has spread in cities of different sizes in China, constraining the development of cities and the living standards of residents. The problem of urban congestion has had varying degrees of impact on people’s lives and urban development.Scholars both domestically and internationally have paid attention to the issue of urban congestion and conducted extensive research from different perspectives.Scholars generally believe that in the information age,the problem of traffic congestion can be achieved through collaborative governance from multiple perspectives, while the theory of collaborative governance emphasizes the awareness of coordinated participation of multiple entities and the integration of resources from the perspective of public management, improving the efficiency of traffic governance based on the utilization of multiple advantages.Especially with the continuous acceleration of social development and urbanization, the causes of congestion in urban traffic governance also have characteristics such as complexity and diversity.A single urban traffic governance model is no longer able to solve the problem of urban traffic congestion. Therefore, the governance of traffic congestion based on collaborative governance theory has become a widespread focus of attention in society.Based on this, this paper takes the urban traffic congestion phenomenon in G City,Jiangxi Province as an example.Based on research methods such as survey research, expert interviews,Analytic Hierarchy Process, and case analysis,it elaborates on the theories and concepts of traffic congestion and collaborative governance. It provides a detailed analysis of the current situation of urban traffic congestion governance in G City, and on this basis, summarizes the problems and reasons for its traffic congestion governance,In the end,it was found that the traditional concept of urban traffic governance in G city is outdated, the awareness of citizen participation is weak, the collaborative governance system is lacking, and the governance efficiency is not high.Especially, the collaborative governance method has not been truly adopted, and urban traffic congestion is only limited to the collaboration within government functional departments, without mobilizing the enthusiasm of third departments, enterprises, and the public to participate in traffic congestion management.Based on this situation,This paper proposes a path to optimize the traffic congestion problem in G city from multiple perspectives, such as transforming traditional governance concepts, enhancing the participation capacity of collaborative governance entities, improving collaborative governance systems and mechanisms, and improving collaborative governance methods, based on the perspective of collaborative governance. In general, this paper enriches the research results of theoretical literature on collaborative governance and traffic congestion, and has theoretical significance. At the same time, the solutions to traffic congestion problems in the perspective of collaborative governance proposed in this paper can play a reference role in the current urban traffic congestion management, and has practical significance. |
