As the basic unit of urban governance,communities are the "peripheral nerves" at the grassroots level of society.Community workers provide the most direct management and service for the residents,promoting the construction and development of social contact,and make important contributions to the stability and development of the social grassroots.At present,there are about 4 million community workers across the country,who undertakes most of the grass-roots affairs of the government.Their work in grass-roots services is tedious and their business is boring.And there are problems of basic living security and development space.In particular,with the outbreak of the epidemic,community workers,as front-line staff for epidemic prevention and control,have long suffered from both physical and psychological pressures,and their job burnout has become more frequent and worse.The current situation of job burnout of community workers affects the executive power and work efficiency of the government in performing grass-roots services,and will cause dissatisfaction among the masses,affecting the government’s image and high-quality social development.The study of community workers’ job burnout is an important entry point to understand the plight of grassroots social governance.The research object of this paper is community workers in Nanshan District,Shenzhen,uses MBI-GS scale to conduct a questionnaire survey on community workers,and analyzes that the job burnout of community workers in Nanshan District is above the medium level.Based on Herzberg’s two factor theory and through SPSS data analysis and interview data research,it is found that the unreasonable salary and welfare system at the health care level,the high-pressure working environment,the lack of relationship support network and the imperfect performance evaluation mechanism at the incentive level,the narrow promotion and growth space,and the vague work motivation and personal development plan lead to the job burnout of community workers in Nanshan District.Therefore,it is suggested that the Nanshan District government should take measures to eliminate the dissatisfaction of health care factors and enhance the promoting role of incentive factors,establish an effective communication mechanism to optimize interpersonal relations,improve the salary system to guarantee basic life,strengthen publicity and guidance to enhance credibility,improve the performance evaluation mechanism to expand promotion space,cultivate service motivation to adhere to the original intention,guide personal career development to clarify their roles,etc,The job burnout of community workers in Nanshan District should be alleviated and eliminated as soon as possible,the enthusiasm of work should be improved,the work situation of internal demand and external heat in the community should be changed,to promote a virtuous cycle of grassroots work and high-quality development of society.
