Labor education is one of the important contents of Marxism,and inheriting and developing Marxist theory is an eternal topic for the Chinese Communists.Therefore,the study of theoretical tracing and contemporary development of labor education is not only helpful to the innovative inheritance of Marxist labor education theory,but also of great value to the development of theoretical practice of labor education in China.The effectiveness of contemporary development of labor education in China directly affects the overall development of our socialist builders and successors.From the theoretical point of view,labor education has an important role in the development of morality,intelligence,physical strength and beauty,and not only has a profound and lasting educational function,but also can provide unique value for self-improvement and selfimprovement of people.From a practical point of view,labor education is an important driving force for human beings to pursue a happy life and society to pursue continuous progress,and it helps to mobilize people’s enthusiasm to swing the oars of labor and raise the sails of labor,so as to have a higher grade and higher level of life and to build a more free and harmonious society.Therefore,it is an important theoretical proposition and practical issue to study the theoretical origin and development of labor education.Around the theoretical tracing and contemporary development of labor education,this study is divided into five main parts in the argumentation.The first part is the introduction,in which we firstly explain what "labor education" is and why we choose the topic of "labor education" for research.Labor education is to bring into play the nurturing function of labor and educate the educated to love labor and the working people,which helps to build up the spiritual foundation of the educated to work hard and be creative.On this basis,the theoretical value and practical significance of labor education are further described.Secondly,this section briefly analyzes relevant research results at home and abroad,which provides a lot of research experience and expository ideas for the smooth development of this study.Finally,the analytical methods used in the study are also introduced in this part,and the innovations and shortcomings of the study are illustrated.The second part is a conceptual elucidation.Clarifying the concepts related to labor education is the first prerequisite for conducting this study,so it is necessary to explain the concepts related to labor education from an etymological perspective.In this part,the connotations of mental and physical labor,general and special groups,labor education and labor perspective education are explained one by one,and their similarities and differences are compared in this part,so as to reflect on the essence of "labor education" and ask questions,which will help lay the conceptual foundation for the subsequent theoretical and practical research.The third part is the theoretical perspective.Based on the in-depth understanding of the conceptual connotation of the second part and the reading of sufficient literature,this chapter clarifies the research scope and research perspective,and theoretically traces the origin of labor education from two levels,gradually improving the research accuracy and understanding depth.Firstly,the classic Marxist writers revealed the interrelationship between labor and education and clarified the practical value and importance of labor education to the all-round development of human beings with a more enriched theoretical vision.Secondly,the ancient Chinese traditional culture contains rich thoughts on labor education,and shines with brilliant thoughts on labor education.Therefore,this study selects three more classical schools as representatives,i.e.,Confucianism,Buddhism,and Mohism as examples for an in-depth comparative study,and describes the profound contents of the above three schools on labor in social governance,humanistic morality,and value enhancement,which provides this study with a unique This provides a unique theoretical support for this study.The fourth part is based on the understanding of the main contents and basic connotations of labor education,and focuses on the innovation and development of labor education theories in contemporary China after tracing and sorting out the sources of labor education theories.The labor education theory in contemporary China is mainly derived from the discourses of Deng Xiaoping,Jiang Zemin,and Hu Jintao on labor education,as well as Xi Jinping’s important discourses on labor education.First of all,labor education emphasized by different national leaders has different focuses: Deng Xiaoping’s period favored the economic function,emphasizing that the important role of labor education for socialist construction should not be ignored in the context of reform and opening up;Jiang Zemin’s and Hu Jintao’s periods favored the nurturing function,focusing on protecting the main position of workers.Secondly,Xi Jinping designed a great education project with hundreds of millions of working people in the country as the main body,based on the national and Party conditions and public conditions in the new era.With its scientific theoretical connotation and practical value,it opens up a new perspective of Marxist labor education thought theory,enriches Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,and points out the direction for modern socialist education in the new era.In the fifth part,the opportunities and challenges faced by labor education practice in the new era are analyzed in depth,and corresponding solution strategies are attempted for the practical dilemmas.This not only enhances the vitality and combativeness of labor education theories in the new era,but also carries out the Marxist viewpoint of "linking theory with practice" and breaks the barrier of academic research being detached from reality,which makes this study have certain practical significance.In conclusion,this study aims to enhance the importance of labor education in all walks of life through in-depth and systematic research on the theoretical origins and contemporary development of labor education,with a view to providing reference for improving the relevance and effectiveness of practical education.
