| The Internet has opened up a whole new realm of public life.As one of the social platforms with a large user base,Sina Weibo plays a pivotal role in information dissemination and public participation of netizens.As one of the main user groups of microblogs,college students are an important force in online public participation,but their online public participation is characterized by shallow level and low willingness,and there are differences in the specific ways of participation in different types of online public events.Therefore,taking Sina Weibo as the research platform and college students as the main research group,this paper aims to explore the following questions:(1)What types of online patriotic public participation can be generally classified by Internet users on Sina Weibo platform at present?(2)What are the main factors that influence college students’ online patriotic public participation?Based on the above research questions,some scholars propose to adopt the method of topic classification to classify the types of participation.Therefore,this paper firstly selects the event of "Pelosi’s scurrying to Taiwan" for data analysis,in order to derive the types of discourse of Internet users’ public participation in such issues as the criteria for classifying college students’ online participation behavior.Secondly,this paper adopts the literature research method and finds that the factors influencing online public participation include individual and external factors.Therefore,this paper uses social identity theory,risk perception theory,and civic voluntarism model as the basic theories to construct an integrated research model that includes individual,group,and media environment influencing factors,and is used to investigate the psychological level influencing factors of college students’ public participation in online patriotic events and to propose the research hypothesis of this paper.In this paper,428 valid questionnaires were collected through the survey of college students,and the data analysis software SPSS and AMOS were used to analyze and verify the research hypotheses.The results of the study showed that in the online patriotic events on the microblogging platform:(1)Cognitive level among individual factors positively influences college students’ online patriotic public participation,and risk perception negatively influences college students’ online patriotic public participation;(2)Group efficacy,national identity,and patriotic sentiment among group factors positively influence college students’ online patriotic public participation;(3)Microblogging network trust among media environment factors positively influences college students’ online patriotic public participation;(4)Network trust plays a partially mediating role between individual and group factors other than national identity and college students’ online patriotic public participation. |
