The tradition of valuing cadre education can be traced back to the founding of the Communist Party of China.Cadre education is the main way to promote the growth,progress and development of cadres,and is a solid guarantee for the construction of high-quality cadres,which determines the strategic and fundamental position of cadre education in the construction of the Party and the country.As a senior leader of the Communist Party of China,Li Weihan always attached great importance to cadre education and made great contributions to it.The cadre education thoughts of Marx,Engels,Lenin,Stalin and Mao Zedong and the revolutionary struggle practice after joining the Communist Party laid the foundation for the formation of his cadre education thought.The cadre education work of Li Weihan closely revolved around the revolutionary and construction tasks of the Party in different periods to cultivate talents,so with the change of the revolutionary and construction tasks of the Party,the cadre education practice of Li Weihan also kept pace with The Times.In terms of ideology,Li Weihan had a clear understanding of the relationship between education and politics,and put forward the idea that education should serve politics.This idea was especially prominent during the Anti-Japanese War,when Li Weihan argued that education in the Anti-Japanese War was the first to serve the needs of sticking to the war.His understanding,in fact,elaborated the important mission of cadre education.In the cadre education,Li Weihan emphasized the implementation of the principle of basing on reality and people-oriented,and advocated that the cadre education work should start from reality,step by step,teach students in accordance with their abilities,and more closely contact with the masses.As for the content of cadre education,Li Weihan realized the importance of cadre and even the whole Party to study theory,and put Marxism-Leninism theory education in the prominent position of cadre education.During the Anti-Japanese War,Li Weihan paid great attention to the political education with current affairs,policy and strategy education as the main content.Military education was a unique proposition that adapted to the requirements of The Times in Yan ’an period of Li Weihan Dynasty.He emphasized the importance of military education and deeply thought about the methods of military education.As for the methods of cadre education,Li Weihan advocated the combination of theory and practice,criticism and self-criticism,self-study and other learning methods.In practice,the cadre education work of Li Weihan spanned the Great Revolution period,the Soviet period,the Yan ’an period and after the founding of New China.During the Great Revolution,Li Weihan cultivated a large number of cadres of the worker-peasant movement by establishing schools,training courses,rural supplementary education clubs and selecting talents to the peasant movement workshops,which saved the strength for the development of the movement in Hunan.In the Central Soviet Area,Li Weihan served as the principal of a Marxist Communist school,coordinating the relevant work of the school and actually participating in the teaching of Party building.Li Weihan’s practice of cadre education mainly focused on Yan ’an period.Li Weihan successively served as the principal of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee,the vice principal and Secretary of the Party Group of Shaanxi Public School,the principal of the Branch School of Shaanxi Public School,and the principal of the later Shaanxi Public School.He presided over the education work of the cadre school,coordinated the teaching affairs of the school and participated in the teaching work of the school.During this period,Li Weihan also served as the vice Minister of Education of the central cadre and was in charge of in-service cadre education in Yan ’an.He made a lot of efforts to arouse the enthusiasm of cadres and coordinate their study work.After the founding of New China,based on the understanding of the importance of cadres to the development of the socialist cause,Li Weihan paid close attention to the education of intellectuals and the training of national cadres from the intellectuals,and made great efforts to train ethnic minority cadres to implement the system of regional ethnic autonomy.Li Weihan has made outstanding contributions to the education of Party cadres.He has brought up tens of thousands of high quality cadres for the cause of the Party,formed its unique cadre education mode,and deepened the connotation of the Party cadre education.The cadre education of Li Weihan has been continuously renewed with the development of The Times,which brings us practical enlightenment: cadre education should change with The Times and adapt to the development of the situation;Strengthen the democratic character of cadre education and carry out people-oriented;Pay attention to the selection and use of talents,to do the appointment of people on merit;Enrich the content of cadre education and cultivate talents in an all-round way.
