Research On The Dilemma And Path Of Digital Integration Of Elderly Groups From The Perspective Of Digital Divide

At present,the double superposition of our country’s information technology and aging population makes the digital gap of old people groups increasingly fierce,the efforts to narrow the old people digital gap are not satisfactory because of various factors.In this context,this paper puts the observation perspective in the field of digital life to explore the current situation,dilemma and solution of the digital integration of the elderly group.It provides some reference for bridging the digital divide and promoting the digital integration of the aged groups.Based on active aging theory,digital divide theory and social ecosystem theory,this paper analyzes the current situation of digital integration of elderly groups from three dimensions by using questionnaire survey.According to the results of the analysis,the digital integration performance of the current Chinese aged groups is as follows.First of all,the dimension of digital access: the number of subscribers increases and they actively integrate into digital life;There are commonalities between groups and differences between urban and rural areas.Secondly,the dimension of digital use: single use of equipment,relatively primary skill operation;The functionality is rudimentary and generally indicates the need for support.Finally,the dimension of digital knowledge: abundant access to information and widespread age difference;The learning channels are diversified and the family is mainly intergenerational.On the whole,the trend of digital integration of the elderly group is good,but there are still many dilemmas.Therefore,this paper uses semi-structured interview to deeply analyze the dilemmas of digital integration of the elderly group as insufficient digital access and negative self-perception.Limited digital skills and difficulty in using software;Lack of digital knowledge,lack of false ability.Therefore,further support and research is needed.Based on the current situation and dilemma of the digital integration of the elderly group,this paper further conducted an empirical study,analyzed the influencing factors of the digital integration of the elderly group,and drew the following conclusions according to the research results: personal factors,family factors and social factors all have a strong explanatory power to the digital integration.By examining the different dimensions of digital integration one by one,it is found that the higher the education level,the higher the income,the better the physical and psychological condition of the individual factors,the higher the degree of digital access,digital use and digital knowledge integration of the elderly group.The influence of family and social factors is not the same.To be specific,firstly,the dimension of digital access,the elderly group who provide support from their children in family factors and use medium communication mode are more likely to have digital access.Among social factors,network knowledge publicity and social security benefits can promote digital access of the elderly.Second,the dimension of number use.In family factors,the fewer the number of children,the support provided by children,the support of spouses,and the more media communication can promote the number use of the elderly group.Among the social factors,peer help,network knowledge publicity,social personnel to provide help,environmental influence and other factors have a positive impact on digital use.Thirdly,from the dimension of digital knowledge,the elderly group with spouse support and children support have a higher degree of digital knowledge.In addition,the network knowledge publicity,social personnel to provide help will also play a certain role.Based on the empirical results,this paper proposes three ways to improve the digital integration of the elderly: building digital connection Bridges,strengthening digital skills training,and creating a safe digital environment.It calls on individuals,families and society to make joint efforts to help the digital integration of the elderly.
