With the continuous development of digital technology,intelligent production and way of life are increasingly emerging,and have gradually become the basic characteristics of today’s Chinese society.The wide application of intelligent technology is changing people’s traditional ideas and ways of life,enabling people to fully enjoy the dividends brought by the intelligent society.At the same time,the problem of aging in China has become increasingly prominent,and more and more elderly groups have been abandoned by informatization and intelligent technology,and cannot smoothly integrate into the intelligent society.This predicament makes the elderly group a vulnerable group in the wave of intelligence,and then gradually disconnects from society.It is an important topic worthy of in-depth discussion to study the digital divide of the elderly in the intelligent society and explore the ways to eliminate the digital divide of the elderly.Based on research methods such as questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews,and using related theories such as communication and sociology,this paper examines the current status of the digital divide among the elderly and its influencing factors,and based on this,it reveals effective paths and safeguards for bridging the digital divide among the elderly.The digital divide among the elderly is growing.Specifically,at the access ditch level,the elderly group has a high degree of popularization of smart devices,and the gap between access to the Internet and other groups is narrowing,but there is still a certain gap;Compared with other groups,there are big differences in terms of difficulty of use,use content,etc.;in terms of literacy gap,media literacy is generally low,information cognition and critical ability are weak,but most elderly groups are optimistic about smart social lifestyles manner.The factors that promote the formation of the digital divide among the elderly mainly include personal factors such as age,health status,education,family factors such as marital status,sources of smart devices,and access to technology,as well as information technology factors such as WIFI or broadband access,and social factors such as training.These factors all have a significant impact on the formation of the digital divide among the elderly.In order to effectively bridge the digital divide among the elderly,the government should increase policy support and provide institutional guarantees for the elderly;communities should upgrade their smart lives and encourage people to share the dividends of smart technology;enterprises should provide customized services for the elderly in a timely manner to meet the needs of the elderly in smart The real needs of the society;the family should pay attention to the feedback of digital culture,so that the elderly group can gain a sense of self-identity;the elderly group should actively improve their self-worth and actively integrate into the intelligent society.
