Study On The Demand And Influencing Factors Of Community Home-based Care Service From The Perspective Of Social Support

According to the seventh census,there are around 190.64 million people in China who are age 65 and above,making up 13.50% of the overall population of the nation,and the process of population aging continues to advance in China.The modern family structure tends to smaller and more nucleated,weakening the function of home-based care.Institution care model takes the elderly away from their familiar family and living environment,and there are limitations in the supply of services for the aged and higher costs.At present,the demand structure of elderly services in China is changing from basic type to developmental type gradually.Traditional home care and institutional care can’t meet the demand of the elderly,and the supply and demand of elderly services are unmatched.Therefore,it is necessary to study the influencing factors of the demand for community aged-care services deeply,to provide demand-oriented suggestions for the community home-based care services,to provide high-quality aged-care services for the elderly to meet their diversified needs of aged-care service.Firstly,the literature at home and abroad is reviewed to analyze the development status of community home-based care services and demand comprehensively and form research ideas.Secondly,conducting research design guided by relevant theories.Applying ERG Theory,the community home-based care services are reasonably classified into living care services,health care services,spiritual and cultural services and legal rights protection services;Applying Social Support Theory as the research perspective,the reasonable hypotheses that formal social support,informal social support and individual characteristics affect the demand of community home-based care services are put forward.SPSS 22.0 software was used to conduct theoretical analysis and empirical research which based on the data of the 2018 The Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey(CLHLS)to comprehensively explore the influencing factors of the demand for community-based home care services.The results of the theoretical study found that the primary choice of elderly ageing mode is community-based home care,the overall level of supply of elderly services is lower than the demand,there is a mismatch between supply and demand,and the demand of services is diversified.The results of the empirical study found that formal social support,informal social support and individual characteristics have significant impact on the demand of community home-based care services.Finally,under the guidance of Welfare Pluralism Theory and combined with the results of the empirical analysis,scientific and feasible suggestions are put forward for the development of community home-based care services,including increasing formal social support,increasing informal social support,promoting the collaboration of multiple subjects,and attaching importance to the psychological health development of the elderly.Based on the perspective of social support,taking the real needs of the elderly as the entry point,selecting CLHLS national data,using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to study the demand and influencing factors of community home-based care services.There are certain innovations in the research perspective and methods,and it also has certain reference significance for the optimization and development of community home-based care services,promoting the precise connection between the supply and demand of community home-based care services,Effectively improving the quality of life for the elderly.
