Y Prison People’s Police Team Building

The construction of the prison people’s police force is one of the key points in the modernization of prisons in China.In recent years,with the deepening of the fight against corruption,the fight against organized crime,the in-depth adjustment of criminal policies,and the constant impact of the COVID-19 epidemic in recent three years,the prison security situation has changed.Criminals often over protect their rights,speculate and have opposite emotions.Therefore,building a team with comprehensive quality,personal ability and mental health to face the constantly changing situations in time is the main goal of Y prison construction,and it is also the focus and main goal of the construction of the national prison people’s police team.The paper uses the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey and open interview to collect and sort out relevant information from four aspects of professional ability,incentive mechanism,mental health and professional identity,and then comprehensively analyze the problems existing in the construction of Y prison police team in the above four aspects and the causes of the problems,and put forward countermeasures and suggestions.In this paper,a questionnaire survey was conducted on 72 policemen in prison Y,and an open interview was conducted on 10 grass-roots policemen in prison.At the same time,it uses the open interview method to conduct an open interview on 26 primary level policemen in Y Prison.Based on the results of the questionnaire survey and open interview,it is found that the police force in Y Prison has problems such as less police skills training,unclear job responsibilities,poor physical and mental health,weak sense of professional honor,and lack of sense of gain.Through the analysis of the causes of the above problems,this paper believes that strengthening the construction of the rule of law can provide basic support for the construction of the prison people’s police team;Improving the assessment system and clarifying the responsibilities can achieve a balanced staffing;At the same time,in order to protect the mental health of prison guards,the corresponding basic health support mechanism can also be established to protect the mental health and maintain the vitality of the team.The establishment of the fault tolerance and correction system not only increases the enthusiasm and initiative of the prison guards,but also has a certain positive publicity effect on the management of public opinion.It not only creates a good image of the prison people’s police,but also enables them to have more professional identity with the police.
