Research On The Influencing Factors Of Female Farmers’ Management Ability

In the context of rural revitalization,the proportion of female farmers in agricultural production is gradually increasing,making them an important supporting force and contributor to rural revitalization.In the white paper"China’s Comprehensive Well-off",the Ministry of Agriculture pointed out that increasing farmers’ operational income is the top priority in achieving the plan of doubling farmers’ income.The trend of agricultural feminization is gradually becoming prominent with the advancement of urbanization,which may have an impact on the increase of operational income for rural households.There is currently a lack of research on the operational capabilities of farmers,especially female farmers.As the main human resources for rural development under the rural revitalization strategy,it is particularly important to study the operational capabilities of female farmers.This article conducts a literature study on the operational capabilities of female farmers.This includes summarizing and sorting out the business capabilities and influencing factors of female farmers both domestically and internationally,as well as the impact of absorptive capacity applied to farmers’operations.On the basis of existing research results,a summary of the core concepts and relevant theoretical foundations involved in this paper’s research is made.Farmers’ management ability is the various skills and application levels that farmers demonstrate in carrying out a series of activities aimed at maximizing their family interests.A survey was conducted on the participation of rural women in agricultural production.An offline questionnaire survey was conducted in 20 townships in Yuanling County,and a total of 350 questionnaires were obtained.325 valid questionnaires were selected,and descriptive statistical analysis of the sample data was conducted using SPSS26.0 software.Based on the theoretical paradigm of "livelihood capital-farmers’ management abilitymanagement performance",a high-order construct structural equation model was established to influence the management ability of female farmers.Starting from livelihood capital,absorptive capacity was used as an intermediary variable.SmartPLS software was used to analyze field survey data.Research has shown that(1)the livelihood capital of female farmers is beneficial for improving their business capabilities;(2)absorptive capacity affects the promoting effect of livelihood capital on business capabilities;(3)business capabilities are beneficial for improving business performance.Based on the above analysis,the paper finally proposes policy recommendations to improve the operational capacity of female farmers in Yuanling County:firstly,to increase the livelihood capital of female farmers;The second is to provide agricultural technology and professional knowledge consulting services;The third is to strengthen government policy promotion and guidance.Thus effectively improving the overall quality of female farmers in China,promoting the modernization of agriculture and the construction of new rural areas.
