With the progress of society and the development of economy,women are more and more involved in social and economic activities,and the crime rate of women is also increasing day by day,and the number of female detainees in detention centers around the country is increasing constantly.The research on the management of female detainees in detention centers is not only conducive to improving the management efficiency and scientific management level of female detainees in detention centers,improving and perfecting China’s judicial system,but also conducive to deepening the related research content of detention center management,criminal behavior and female studies.Based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory and gender theory,this paper takes the detention center of A City as an example,and adopts the methods of literature research,participant observation and in-depth interview to deeply discuss the management of female detainees in detention centers.The findings of this paper are as follows: First,the overall management effect of detention centers is good at present.The management of female detainees mainly focuses on the management of safety,education and basic living security,and the management methods are mainly daily service,direct management and education management.Second,the main problems existing in the management of female detainees in detention centers include: the management content is difficult to meet the multi-level needs of detainees,the flexible management mode is relatively insufficient,the management mechanism is imperfect,and the management efficiency needs to be further improved.Third,the main causes of the problem include: Lack of value-oriented transformation(safety first management concept,lack of demand-oriented awareness,emphasis on management and light service),lack of professional ability of managers(lack of comprehensive management ability,lack of psychological intervention ability,lack of law enforcement practice ability),heavy work tasks of managers(overload phenomenon is common,facing work,psychological and family triple pressure,strong sense of job burnout),base The construction of infrastructure is insufficient(administrative divisions do not match the carrying capacity of detention centers,the planning and construction of detention centers do not take into account the physiological characteristics of women,the small space of detention centers is easy to trigger conflicts,and the construction of detention centers is low in informatization).Finally,on this basis,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions,such as changing the management concept,enhancing the professional ability of managers,perfecting the management mechanism and improving the infrastructure construction.
