| With the deepening of the aging of our population,the demand for education for the aged of increasingly large elderly groups is also increasing.Jinan is the capital city of Shandong Province,which has the largest aged population in China.It is also an important source of China’s education for the aged.After 40 years of leading the development trend of education for the aged in China,the supply of educational resources for the aged in Jinan has reached a certain level,but there are still some problems.This study focuses on the supply of educational resources for the aged in Jinan.First of all,this study reviews the domestic and foreign literature on the supply of educational resources for the aged,defines the concepts related to the supply of educational resources for the aged,puts forward a holistic analytical framework based on the theoretical basis of collaborative governance and welfare pluralism,and uses qualitative research methods such as semi-structured interview method to in-depth analyze the present situation and problems of the supply of educational resources for the aged in Jinan.Then,this study finds that the problems in the supply of educational resources for the aged in Jinan include:the quantity of supply of resources is small;the quality of supply of resources is low;the coordination of supply of resources is not strong;the supply of resources is not open enough;the supply of resources is unbalanced between urban and rural areas.The causes for the above problems include:relevant suppliers have insufficient understanding of education for the aged;the government’s leading role in the supply of educational resources for the aged is not enough;government has insufficient ability to supply educational resources for the aged;the system of multiple suppliers participating in the supply of educational resources for the aged is not perfect;the development environment of distance education for the aged is not good.Finally,this study puts forward some countermeasures to improve the supply of educational resources for the aged in Jinan.These countermeasures include:guide to form the understanding of welfare attribute of education for the aged;give full play to the government’s leading role in the supply of educational resources for the aged;strengthen the capacity building of public educational institutions for the aged;establish a collaborative supply system of educational resources for the aged;create a good development environment of distance education for the aged. |
