| With the continuous development of China’s urban governance level,the construction of a new smart city will become an important part of urban construction in the future.It is an important part of improving the national governance system and improving the modernization of governance capacity.However,at present,there are some differences in the acceptance and development level of smart city construction among cities.Therefore,this paper will take 286 prefecture level cities as the research object,take the policy innovation diffusion theory and holistic governance theory as the theoretical basis,and adopt the methods of text analysis,event history analysis,case study method and other research methods are used to study many factors affecting the innovation diffusion of new smart policies.According to the empirical analysis,this paper obtains the following research results.First of all,with the vigorous promotion of the state,China’s new smart city policy has shown an "S" diffusion trend in recent years,and gradually spread from the eastern region to the western region,which will continue to promote the modernization of China’s urban governance capacity.Secondly,independent variables such as population density,per capita GDP,the establishment of special funds for information development,financial capacity and the pressure of the central government have a significant positive impact on the probability of the adoption of China’s new smart city policy,which helps the government to think more rationally and comprehensively when making policy decisions.Finally,it is proposed that the government should widely listen to the opinions of the people,standardize industry standards and improve financial capacity,so as to lay a good human,financial and material foundation for the construction of a new smart city. |
