Influence Of Using Community And Home Care Services On Multidimensional Health Of The Elderly

Under gradually grave background of the problem of an aging population,community and home care services are an important measure to deal with aging,and meet the needs of the elderly for healthy care.Analyzing the impact of community and home care services on the elderly from the perspective of health is of great significance for promoting the high-quality development of community and home care services and improving the health of the elderly.This research framework constructed is based on the theory of community care,health demand,healthy aging and hierarchy theory of needs,the health of the elderly is measured from three dimensions: physical health,mental health and social well-being.Based on the data of CHARLS 2018,this paper empirically analyzes the impact of using community and home care services on the health of the elderly by using PSM statistical method,and further discuss the effects of different types of services,as well as compares the group differences of various types of the elderly.The results show that,using community and home care services has a significant impact on the multi-dimensional health of the elderly.The analysis of using different types of services find that the using community care services did not significantly improve the physical and mental health of the elderly,using medical care services and recreational had a significant effect on the multi-dimensional health of the elderly,and average treatment effect of using recreational services were higher than using community care and medical care services.Heterogeneity analysis shows that using community and home care services has a higher effect on the physical and mental health of the rural elderly,and a higher effect on the social well-being of the urban elderly;There is no significant impact on the health of the elderly group,but it has a significant impact on the health of the middle-aged and young elderly group;Using community and home care services has a different impact on the health of the disabled and non-disabled elderly;Using community and home care services has a different impact on the health of the non-empty nesters and empty nesters.Based on this study,suggestions are made: Increase the supply of home and community care services and promote resource coordination;Optimize the supply structure of home and community care services and enrich the service content;Pay attention to vulnerable elderly groups and strengthen the ability of care services.
