Faced with the increasing aging population, the traditional family and institutional elderly care models are no longer sufficient to meet the diversified needs of elderly people for elderly care services, which has brought enormous pressure to the government and families. To alleviate the crisis of population aging,it is necessary to continuously promote the development of home-based elderly care services,in order to supplement traditional elderly care models. In view of this, this article explores the issue of supply and demand matching in rural home-based elderly care services, analyzes the causes of the problems in supply and demand matching, and proposes practical and feasible countermeasures, which is of great significance for promoting the development of rural home-based elderly care services. This article defines the concepts of home-based elderly care services, rural home-based elderly care, and supply-demand matching by reviewing relevant literature, and explores and analyzes the supply-demand matching problem of rural home-based elderly care services in combination with a diversified supply model,in order to supplement theoretical and empirical research in relevant fields at home and abroad. This article combines the theory of supply and demand balance, the theory of new public services, and the theory of welfare pluralism to construct an analysis framework for the supply and demand matching of rural home-based elderly care services from the perspectives of user demand side, service supply side, and supply and demand matching. Then,a questionnaire survey is conducted to study 9 typical villages in Liuzhou to understand the current situation of demand intensity of rural home-based elderly care services and analyze the factors affecting demand intensity.Explore the supply level of rural home-based elderly care services in 9 typical villages in Liuzhou through in-depth interviews, and discover the actual supply-demand matching problems based on the survey results.Through empirical research,it was found that from the perspective of user demand, the demand intensity for rural home-based elderly care services is mainly influenced by factors such as the age of the elderly, their willingness to accept services, their physical health status, and the number of children. From the perspective of service providers, financing methods, delivery modes, and regulatory characteristics have all had a certain impact on the supply level of rural home-based elderly care services. From the perspective of supply and demand matching,it is mainly found that there are problems such as insufficient government resource investment, inadequate policy promotion, insufficient service depth, and insufficient professionalism and pertinence of information feedback. Finally, provide some feasible countermeasures and suggestions to improve the supply and demand matching of rural home-based elderly care services. In terms of financing methods,we should increase government funding, strengthen cooperation with social capital, and constantly lay a solid foundation for the development of rural home-based elderly care services. In terms of transportation mode,it is necessary to dredge transportation channels and promote collaborative supply among multiple entities;Strengthen publicity to stimulate Effective demand for rural home-based elderly care services;Build a talent team and gradually improve the quality of rural home-based elderly care service supply;Expand the scope of services and promote the development of home-based elderly care services in rural areas. In terms of regulatory characteristics,it is necessary to continuously improve the information feedback system, establish elderly care tracking records, and improve the regulatory evaluation system.
