In recent years,China’s "Silver Crisis" has become more and more serious. The problem of aging gradually involves all aspects of social life, and "active aging" provides a solution to this social problem.Active aging includes health, participation and security. Therefore, the academic research on intergenerational care for the health or social participation of the middle-aged and elderly has been given deeper significance in the new policy context.Due to the current lack of overall grasp of intergenerational care on health, participation and security, this paper uses the tracking survey data of China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study, takes the middle-aged and elderly aged from 45 to 80 as the research object, and uses the propensity value matching method to study the impact of intergenerational care on health, participation and security. The specific research ideas are as follows: firstly, sort out the viewpoints, methods and selection indicators of relevant literature,so as to provide ideas for the selection of variables in this paper;Secondly, descriptive statistical analysis is used to intuitively present the age,gender,urban-rural distribution, health level, social participation and economic sources of China’s elderly population;Thirdly, stepwise regression was used to study the effects of intergenerational care and control variables on health, participation and security; Then, logistic regression is used to study the influence of control variables on intergenerational care.It is pointed out that in the traditional linear regression, there is a selection deviation in the choice of intergenerational care, and the influence of confounding factors needs to be controlled by matching; Finally, the propensity score matching is used to control the selection deviation, and the propensity values of the total samples and sub samples are matched respectively. When the data meet the assumptions of balance and common support domain,a detailed conclusion of the consequences of intergenerational care is drawn.Through the above complete empirical analysis, the relationship between intergenerational care, health, social participation and security is obtained. The conclusions are as follows: first, the propensity score matching results show that intergenerational care only directly affects physical health and social participation, showing a positive effect, but does not affect mental health and children’s economic support;Second, there is group heterogeneity in the promotion of intergenerational care on physical health and social participation.Third, the relationship between health, social participation and security is complex.Among them, mental health and physical health, physical health and social participation, social participation and children’s economic support, children’s economic support and mental health all play a two-way role, but mental health promotes social participation one way.Fourth, health, social participation and children’s economic support are affected not only by intergenerational care, but also by many other factors, and the choice of intergenerational care is also affected by many factors.According to the research conclusion, based on intergenerational care, this paper gives detailed elaboration and suggestions on the problems faced by active aging and how to promote active aging: correctly understand and give full play to the value of intergenerational care and create an atmosphere of respecting and loving the elderly;Strengthen the family pension function and improve the social pension function;Improve infrastructure, especially rural infrastructure construction, create conditions for the social integration of the middle-aged and elderly, encourage, support and re education of the middle-aged and elderly, and create opportunities for their re education.
