The aim of this Topic is to explore the design and production characteristics of the Award-winning Entries of the National Postgraduate Chinese Teaching Micro-lecture Contest for TCSOL students and to summarize the characteristics of the design and production of excellent Chinese micro-lecture.The results of this study can provide some guidance and inspiration for Chinese language practitioners and TCSOL students in the design and production of micro-lecture,and at the same time,can provide ideas and references for the innovation and optimization of micro-lecture teaching in the international Chinese language education field.This takes the 43 award-winning entries of TCSOL students in the Fourth National Postgraduate Chinese Teaching micro-lecture Contest as examples,and examines the award-winning micro-lecture from six dimensions: teaching objects,topic selection,teaching objectives,teaching links,microlearning videos,and teaching presentation.The results of the study show that the design of the award-winning micro-lecture by the TCSOL students is characterized by the selection of topics that meet the needs of learners,interesting and attractive topics,clear teaching targets,clear and complete teaching objectives,compact arrangement of teaching sessions,reasonable time allocation,emphasis on the construction of situations,easy and efficient practice,reasonable amount of homework and clear assignment requirements.In terms of micro-lecture production,the length of micro-lecture videos is limited to 6-10 minutes,Chinese subtitles and subtitles in 2-6 foreign languages are provided,the PPT is well designed and beautifully produced,the text and images are clear,there are opening and closing credits containing basic information,various information technologies can be used comprehensively,the language of instruction is appropriate to the learners’ level and can meet their learning needs,the instructor is smiling and has corresponding teaching instructions,the instructor is well dressed,the instructor is natural and generous and has a good sense of camera.
