In order to further promote Chinese land Chinese culture and increase the love of Chinese language and culture among foreign students,the Center for Language Education and Cooperation has held the “Chinese Bridge” series of Chinese language competitions.As a competition,lasting more than 20 years,the “Chinese Bridge”Chinese Proficiency Competition for World College Students is known as the“Olympics” of Chinese language and has become an important platform for Chinese lovers around the world to learn Chinese and Chinese culture.The cultural test questions(317)of the “Chinese Bridge”competition in the recent three years(2019-2021,the 18 th to the 20th)are selected in this paper as the research object.The research methods such as literature reading method,observation method,classification analysis method are used.The culture is divided into eight categories,and then according to the test question type,content and answer situation statistics and analysis to sum up the test question type,content and characteristics of the test question.According to the answer situation of the contestants,analysis of the players for the mastery of Chinese culture is good or bad and the reasons for the answer.The study found that the number of Chinese culture content examined in the recent three “Chinese Bridge” competitions is from high to low,which is Chinese literature,Chinese national conditions,custom culture,word culture,geographical culture,science and technology,art culture and historical culture.It can be seen from the answers and performance of the contestants that they have a good grasp of Chinese geography,science and technology,customs,history and other cultural knowledge,but a clear lack of understanding of literature,art and Chinese national conditions.This paper analyzes the difficulties in the cultural test questions,statistics the content of each culture item,and selects some representative questions to discuss the reasons for the good or bad answers of the contestants.Finally,the corresponding learning strategies and teaching suggestions are put forward for the contestants and the teaching of Chinese culture as a foreign language.Contestants should pay attention to cultural differences and update their learning content;Learning methods should be diversified,and the learning theory should be applied to practice;Also consciously cultivate interest in Chinese culture,maintain a positive attitude.In teaching Chinese culture as a foreign language,the teaching content should break the limitation of teaching materials,select appropriate teaching content,pay attention to the communication and the timeliness of teaching content.In terms of teaching methods,focus on the combination of language teaching and cultural teaching,classroom teaching and cultural practice activities,respect cultural diversity,and cultivate learners’ cross-cultural awareness.
