In reality,international trade competition has intensified,and some Western countries such as Europe and the United States have begun to use non-tariff barriers for trade protection,and cultural trade barriers have been widely used in recent years as a more hidden measure.Under the background of the era of trade protection,film and television enterprises,as a major subject of China’s cultural industry exports,have suffered a lot of impact on their export trade.In the face of multi-faceted oppression overseas,exploring the relationship between the implementation of cultural trade barriers and the export of Chinese film and television enterprises is very important for Chinese film and television export enterprises to improve their foreign trade competitiveness and avoid overseas cultural trade risks.Based on the timeliness and availability of data,this paper selects the export value of Chinese film and television products from 2014 to 2022 and the value of cultural trade barriers and some influencing factors of cultural trade barriers in 42 countries during the period,uses the trade gravity model,and finds that cultural trade barriers have a negative impact on China’s film and television cultural products exports through empirical analysis.The economic development level of trading partners has an important impact on China’s film and television cultural products exports to a certain extent,and the characteristics of trading partners have a regulating effect on China’s film and television cultural products exports.Based on the above conclusions,this paper puts forward relevant suggestions.For the government,the government needs to improve the early warning mechanism for cultural trade barriers and make full use of the WTO dispute settlement mechanism;Encourage enterprises to actively innovate and improve the cultural content of film and television products.For the industry,it is necessary to standardize the industry production system and strengthen enterprise exchanges and cooperation;For enterprises,change the innovative thinking of film and television product shooting and improve cultural and creative services;Actively explore overseas markets,strive to shoot high-quality works,build the core competitiveness of enterprises from the root,seize opportunities and face challenges.
