The Presentation Of Cultural Ceremony In Food Documentary

In the early days of mankind,people were hungry for food and used a variety of means to obtain it,so we can also think of this part of history as the history of the exploitation of food resources.It is in this process of continuous development that the life form of human food creation was promoted in the social development,and then slowly developed into the now widely known ritual of food culture.Food is the most direct way to show the cultural attributes of the ceremony.Chinese culture has a long history,and food culture also has profound historical precipitation,which is an important part of culture."Food for the people" is imprinted in the heart of the Chinese eternal survival criteria,so "food" is also directly related to everyone.Through the ages,"food" not only satisfies people’s physiological needs,but also embodies the unique connotation and cultural memory higher than life in the ceremony.Food and ritual are interdependent and interoperable with culture.Therefore,to study the ritual in food documentary is to study how the audience seeks the fundamental value of their culture through the ritual of food.This paper uses the literature research method and case study method to create the content.In the introduction part,the background and significance of the research are expounded,and the related content is sorted out from the two directions of food documentary and ceremony.At the same time,with a number of food documentaries as the research basis,and combined with my graduation project "Taste of Life",I hope to make a better presentation of cultural rituals in food documentaries.The main discussion of this paper is divided into the following four parts.First,the cultural ritual representation of food documentary is explained from two aspects: the intention of the ceremony and the scene.Secondly,it explores the presentation of ritualization from three aspects: food itself,spirit and fusion development.Secondly,from the visual and auditory parts,this paper explores the audio-visual presentation of cultural ritual symbols in food documentaries.Finally,the paper discusses the communication mode and innovation path of food documentary cultural ceremony.
