In recent years,China’s comprehensive strength has been continuously enhanced,and the international community has become more enthusiastic about China culture.Under this background,Chinese teacher volunteer program is in full swing.In order to promote the healthy development of Chinese teacher volunteer program and the sustainable development of Chinese international education,this study takes Guangxi universities as an example to investigate the current employment situation of 164 returned Chinese teacher volunteers in recent 8 years and their career and development plans after returning home.The research of this paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,mainly including the reasons for selecting the topic,literature review,research purpose and significance,research content and methods.The second part is a survey of the employment status of returned Chinese teacher volunteers in Guangxi universities,mainly investigating their basic situation and current employment status.The third part is a survey on the career planning of volunteers of returned Chinese teachers in Guangxi universities,which includes four aspects:self-awareness,career planning awareness,career planning value orientation and career planning goal implementation.The fourth part,on the basis of the above survey data,finds that most volunteer teachers have gender and age disadvantages after returning to China,facing problems such as single employment structure,weak awareness of career planning and insufficient policy support,and then discusses the reasons that affect the re-employment of Chinese teacher volunteers after returning to China from three aspects: individuals,universities and countries.Specifically,there are outdated national security policies,weak employment policies,unreasonable curriculum in colleges and universities,insufficient employment and career planning guidance services,unclear personal career planning,unclear self-awareness and inactive self-action.The fifth part puts forward some suggestions to alleviate the employment problem of volunteer teachers after returning to China: individuals need to improve their comprehensive quality,improve their self-awareness and make career plans;Colleges and universities should improve curriculum,strengthen practice and strengthen employment guidance;The state needs to improve the return guarantee system,provide employment guidance and implement employment policies.
