| The period of the Sixteen Kingdoms in the Wei and Jin dynasties is a turbulent period in the history of our country.During this period,not only wars occurred frequently,but also cultural exchanges between different regions were close.Tombs are an important medium for understanding the culture of this period.Tomb murals are the most intuitive way to understand the life of the times.The mural tombs in Hexi area during this period have more murals that show real life scenes than those in other areas.People are the protagonists of real life,the creators of social material wealth and spiritual wealth,and the important force to promote social change and historical progress.The study of female groups is a gender perspective interpretation of their social features,and it is a meaningful work for the study of women’s life and status.This paper takes the secular female images appearing in the mural tombs of the Wei,Jin and Sixteen States Period in Hexi area as the research object.According to the nature of the activities of the secular female characters in the picture,it is divided into female images in production and labor,female images in consumption activities and other themes.The productive labor engaged by women in Hexi includes three categories : agriculture,animal husbandry and family labor.The consumption activities include three categories :banquet and entertainment,bedroom accommodation and travel.The secular female images of other themes include ‘Holding a spoon maid’ ‘Young girl stabbing tiger’‘Naked woman under the tree’ and female images appearing in military activities.Through the characteristics of image characters and content themes,the real life of women ’s clothing,food,housing,transportation and labor enjoyment in Hexi area during the Wei,Jin and Sixteen Kingdoms period can be reproduced.Combined with relevant documents,historical documents and excavation reports,we can explore the differences in female style between Hexi area and other areas in the same period.In addition,the images and activities of ethnic minority women seen in the mural tombs in Hexi area can also explore and supplement the cross-influence between the style of ethnic minority women and the style of Han women. |
