Since the 1980 s,a large number of Yiwushu from the Sixteen Kingdoms Period have been unearthed in Hexi Region.These Yiwushu have a complete time series and are unearthed in the same place.This has provided us with a study of the clothing and folklore of the people of Hexi Region in the Sixteen Kingdoms Period.In order to carry out a systematic and comprehensive study of Yiwushu from the Sixteen Kingdoms Period unearthed in Hexi Region,we classify and study the material,size,penmanship,writing rules,content,development process and inventories of grave goods.It can be seen from the table that the material,size and penmanship of Yiwushu in the Sixteen Kingdoms Period in Hexi Region were relatively random.This reflects the social significance of the popularization and folkization of Yiwushu.The contents of Yiwushu are mainly divided into three parts: title,list of funeral items and end questions.The title usually states the name of the owner of the tomb,and there is an extra column in the format that precedes the list of funeral items.The part of the list of funeral items is mainly arranged according to the general order of the types and uses of items.And various types of items are recorded in columns.The last part reflects the Taoist culture in funeral customs and the longing of people for underground life.It reveals the development and evolution of Yiwushu in the Sixteen Kingdoms Period in Hexi region from a simple item list to the Taoist tomb praying utensils with rich Taoism culture in the later period.The main part of Yiwushu is recorded a large number of inventories of grave goods,which can be divided into clothing and non-clothing.By sorting these two types of items and comparing them with the Yiwushu unearthed in other areas,we can intuitively see that the most commonly worn clothing during the Sixteen Kingdoms period were?,??,?,?,?,?and?.The difference in clothing is mainly reflected in the material.People with higher status rank in clothing and clothing items are mostly made of silk fabrics,and the colors are more diverse.At the same time,non-clothing items showed the rich material life of Hexi region and the funeral customs at that time.By combing the research on the language,development process and inventories of grave goods,we have restored the material life of the people in the Sixteen Kingdoms period.At the same time,Yiwushu also show the spiritual belief of the people in HexiRegion.It reflects the concept of life and death and the conception of the return of the soul.And with the deepening of Taoism in the Hexi region,the Taoist fairy beliefs are also gradually affecting the funeral customs such as Yiwushu.Taoist has become an indispensable part of the spiritual belief of the people in Hexi Region.
