As one of the important media for disseminating history,culture and humanistic spirit,humanities documentaries have made indelible contributions to the inheritance and development of the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation.Humanistic documentaries are people-centered,and their unique humanistic spirit gives documentaries more moving emotions and more vivid vitality,which in turn resonates with the audience and deepens the social impact of the works.Based on the present,looking back on the past,through people’s memories and emotions,we seek the relationship between people and the development of the times,and record people’s rationality and sensibility in the development of history and social changes.At the same time,the will and power conveyed by the image carry a unique individual memory,social memory and individual memory are closely related,documentary as an important part of the communication media,naturally bear the mediation responsibility of social memory.In the process of documentary dissemination,fragments of people’s memories are activated and reconstructed.In this process,the meaning and value of social memory are constructed,and the identity of cultural identity and national identity is realized,so as to reflect the importance of humanities documentaries as an excellent cultural inheritance medium and highlight the creative value of humanities documentaries.Therefore,in humanities documentaries,the way of awakening social memory through image construction deserves attention and consideration.The research content of this paper mainly studies the image construction of humanities documentary under the perspective of social memory through the following aspects.The first part is the introduction.The first is to elaborate the research background and significance of the image construction of humanities documentaries from the perspective of social memory.Secondly,the literature and video works on related issues were sorted out;Finally,the ideas and methods of the research are sorted out.The second part is conceptual definition.Firstly,the concept of "humanities documentary" is defined,the development of humanities documentary in China is summarized,the characteristics of humanities documentary are summarized,and then the artistic communication value of humanities documentary is explored.The second is to sort out the origin of social memory theory,so as to explore individual memory and collective memory.And through the memory subject and memory object,the intrinsic relationship between social memory and humanistic documentary is analyzed.The third part is related to image construction.Among them,the narrative strategy in humanities documentaries is first explored.The text mainly analyzes humanities documentaries from the perspective of narrative theme,narrative perspective and narrative structure.Then,it explores how social memory can be reproduced through the construction of audiovisual language in humanities documentaries.Through the analysis of video language,the rational application of social memory theory in humanities documentaries is explored.The fourth part takes his personal work "Nanliang Tofu" as an example to analyze the Chinese social memory and image presentation of humanities documentaries.It highlights the social significance and artistic value presented by studying the image construction of humanities documentaries from the perspective of social memory.The fifth part is the conclusion of this paper,summarizing the research conclusions and shortcomings of the research on image construction of social memory in humanities documentaries.This paper takes humanities documentaries as the research object,takes social memory as the research perspective,and analyzes his personal work "Nanliang Tofu",takes social memory as the core,takes food as the memory object,and human memory subject,through its related excellent works,starts from the main significance of humanities documentaries,and systematically analyzes the narrative strategy and audiovisual language in humanities documentaries.Nowadays,in the process of the rapid development of the country,it has noticed the crisis faced by excellent traditional culture,and social change should not be at the cost of the loss of culture.Therefore,it is urgent to protect and inherit the history and culture of the nation and the social memory of the ethnic group.On this basis,the significance of humanistic documentaries from the perspective of social memory for the declining historical culture and social memory has gone beyond the image itself.It is of certain practical significance to discuss how to study the image construction of humanities documentaries through the perspective of social memory,and then reconstruct social memory in the form of images to inherit excellent traditional culture.
