National image is the comprehensive embodiment of a country’s politics,economy and culture,which is of great significance to the national spirit and international cooperation.Documentary,as an important carrier of national image display,has been widely used in national image communication in recent years because of its intuitive and documentary characteristics.After putting forward the concept of "telling a good Chinese story" since 2013,China has intensified its efforts in the construction of cultural soft power and national image,and strive to show the world a three-dimensional national image of China.In recent years,various types of national documentaries have sprung up.The analysis and summary of documentaries provide ideas and reference for the construction of China’s national image and the construction of documentary’s ability to participate in international communication in the future.Using the text analysis method,this paper carefully reads the image texts of various parts of the documentary "falling in love with China",and summarizes and summarizes that the documentary "falling in love with China" constructs the national image mainly through three aspects: narration,memory and identity.The analysis of the details of the documentary puts forward effective suggestions for the construction of China’s national image.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part mainly summarizes the concept and classification of documentary,as well as the development of China’s documentary industry.Secondly,it summarizes the concept of the other and related research,and analyzes the way of national image construction from the perspective of the other.Finally,it expounds the other perspective embodied in the documentary "falling in love with China",and summarizes and combs the contents of the documentary.The second part analyzes the documentary by using the documentary creation theory,and summarizes the narrative characteristics of the documentary from the perspective of documentary creation,narrative perspective and narrative structure.The third part mainly analyzes the construction mode of collective memory in the documentary "falling in love with China",which is discussed from three parts: the construction of memory situation,the activation of memory emotion and the rise from personal memory to collective memory.The fourth part rises from memory to identity,deepens national identity from three aspects:value appeal,fact confirmation and cultural consciousness,and finally expounds the national image embodied in the documentary "falling in love with China".The documentary not only evokes the audience’s patriotism and dedication to foreign countries,but also reveals the story of Chinese people’s love for foreign countries.The documentary is shot from the perspective of the other,which reduces the cultural discount caused by different cultural environments,greatly improves the communication effect,and has a certain reference significance for cross-cultural communication and national image construction. |
