History and memory coexist long,lasting.No matter how times change,the inheritance of historical memory is the eternal topic of mankind.In recent years,"social memory" has become the focus of documentary research.As an important carrier of social memory,historical documentary has produced many classic works,attracting more and more attention from researchers,creators and audiences.Therefore,the topic of "Research on the Construction of Current Social Memory in Historical Documentary" has important practical significance and broad research space.This study takes many excellent historical documentary and graduation work "The memory of ’The May 3rd Massacre’" as the research object,adopts the new research perspective of social memory construction,and realizes the text docking between social memory theory and historical documentary.On the premise of centering on the ontological characteristics of film and television art,using multidisciplinary theories such as sociology and history,combined with their own creation practice,this thesis systematically expounds the concept origin and main connotation of historical documentary and social memory,as well as the development status of historical documentary since the new century.It also comprehensively discusses the characteristic advantages of historical documentary in constructing current social memory.Focusing on the specific level,this study deeply explores the artistic characteristics of social memory construction of historical documentary from the dimensions of value presentation,symbol construction and artistic expression.Documentary shows the multiple values of constructing current social memory from three aspects: tracing history,disciplining the present and gathering consensus.Using language symbols,image symbols,place symbols and ritual symbols and other diversified media symbols to expand the writing boundaries of social memory;Use of rich narrative elements,visual elements and acoustic elements,the historical intrinsic emotion and social memory in image of artistic expression is presented to the audience,the audience in the history of documentary created in the image space from the right historical cognition and strong emotional resonance,implementation on the depth of the construction of social memory and more intensive.On the basis of summarizing the advantages and characteristics,this study reflects on the shortcomings and looks into the future.From two aspects of construction strategy and communication strategy,this study makes an in-depth discussion on the innovation trend and future development of social memory construction of historical documentary.From the perspective of the innovation of social memory construction strategy,historical documentary began to emphasize the enhancement of historical commentary to highlight the consciousness of creation subject,and expand the subject space to improve the international influence.From the innovative level of social memory communication strategy,the innovative communication form of multi-screen and cross-screen co-communication and online and offline co-communication improves the communication scope and communication strength of documentary.In general,the innovative trend of historical documentary provides a broader space for the in-depth construction and wide dissemination of social memory,and has a future prospect worthy of continuous and in-depth research.
